Hala was sound asleep, her head swirling with snippets of dreams and memories. Currently, she was sat on a rock on a sandy beach, and the whistling of the wind and the roaring of the waves was distinct. A hand was clasping hers, and Hala struggled to wriggle out of it, although the hand was soft, and familiar.

Ethan was suddenly swallowed by the hands of dreams. Ahead of him stood a pinkish haze that hung across the corridor. Behind stood a mysterious figure, a blur, a faint outline. His mother? A soft voice danced over to his ears, enchanting him and they drifted along. Like a camera flash, memories flooded his mind. Then the figure disappeared like an act of magic. He tried to run but he got nowhere. A tear rolled down his cheek.
