I think there is neither sufficient supply nor demand for such an endeavor.
Jeff Sullivan
2:21
Underrated baseball interest: pickoff attempts where the runner takes two casual steps back to the base
A very genuine waste of everybody's time
Carson Cistulli
2:21
Villar walks. Brewers on first and second. Zero outs!
Jeff Sullivan
2:22
Bumgarner running a 1.000 OBP against, which is way up from last season. Something to watch
Ben
2:22
Can Marcus Stroman be elite with his sinker and relatively low K rates?
Jeff Sullivan
2:22
Gotta get them Halladay strikeouts
Erik
2:23
Best opening day stat: Tulowitzki currently leads the majors with a 512 wRC+, despite a .000 BABIP.

2:23
Jeff, why do you resist Carson's edits? He seems knowledgeable on these things.
Jeff Sullivan
2:23
I don't resist. I just write too much and he has enough on his plate already
Carson Cistulli
2:23
Without looking, I'd guess that a number of Blue Jays are candidates to produce the highest wRC+s in the league relative to their BABIPs.
Yes, regard my plate.
F*ck Barmer
2:24
What do you think of Byron Buxton? Does he figure it out before the break? Do the twins need him to get it going to be competitive?
Carson Cistulli
2:25
Buxton is probably poised to record an average season right now based on defense alone. His floor is probably those first couple Jackie Bradley-type seasons. I'd guess. I mean, I'm really guessing.
Steve
2:25
Having Jeff and Carson at the same time is better than a Kershaw perfect game.
Jeff Sullivan
2:25
neither one of us responds well to pressure
Carson Cistulli
2:25
No, not at all. All anxiety is performance anxiety.
klof
2:25
Thoughts on the Cubs going with LaStella's lefty bat at 3B over Soler's righty bat in LF for the opener (Bryant in LF)? Does this portend bad things for the assumption that Schwarber/Soler split LF in a traditional platoon?
Carson Cistulli
2:25
Unflinching support for LaStella.
K-Man
2:26
Jeff, do you write the most out of all FG regulars?
Jeff Sullivan
2:26
Yes, but I'd way rather write than edit
Carson Cistulli
2:27
Jeff, what's the state of pitch-framing right now and Lucroy's place in it? In 50 words or less.
Jeff Sullivan
2:27
Pitch-framing looks ahead to a horizon of death.
Carson Cistulli
2:28
Ah, okay. Fair enough.
Jeff Sullivan
2:28
I would assume Lucroy remains an above-average framer, but not to the extreme degree he's been in the past.
Carson Cistulli
2:28
The Bs are L'd right now. Like, really L'd.
Poor Man's Rick Reed
2:28
Why aren't homeruns counted in BABIP? Why don't we use BACON instead, both for it's clearly superior acronym and including homers as good things the batter did?
Jeff Sullivan
2:28
Different stats for different things. BABIP better for trying to figure out luck element and whatnot
The Hamburglar
2:30
Fans who genuinely want to boo someone with a name like LuCroy must have a hard time standing out, in fear it'll be heard as "Luuuuu"
Jeff Sullivan
2:30
Think about Moustakas before he got good
Carson Cistulli
2:30
The Brewers are now winning.
A hit, three walks, a run.
Poor Man's Rick Reed

"Game 1 of 162, it is indeed a long, long season." - Giants broadcaster pre game hype.
Jeff Sullivan
2:30
I assume that Madison Bumgarner is going to puke his guts out between innings
Not stepdaughter
2:31
Who's do you predict is the team everybody loves to hate this year? The Dodgers are an easy target but I could see the Mets getting really annoying if they repeat last season's success
Jeff Sullivan
2:31
Royals or Blue Jays. Jays have a lot of swagger and they don't have the playoff drought anymore. Royals, similarly, aren't the cute underdog anymore
HappyFunBall
2:31
Isn't chatting just ordinary writing on a much shorter deadline?
Jeff Sullivan
2:31
And it's so much easier!
Adam
2:32
Carson you are a messenger from the future. What other prophecies do you have?
Carson Cistulli
2:33
I'm actually a messenger from the past, but abide by TS Eliot's proclamation that "time past is present in time future."
