Do you have any hate for a current MLB player?
Jeff Sullivan
2:59
Hate is a strong word, so, no. But I still don't like Francisco Rodriguez, and now I don't like Jose Reyes
3:00
I would probably hate Brett Lawrie if I knew him
jon
3:00
How many players would crush their teams chances more than Pollock? I imagine he's top 20, maybe top 10. Sale, Greinke/Goldschmitt, Fernandez/Stanton, Trout....
Jeff Sullivan
3:00
I'll put him in the top 10 just because the DBacks are right on the bubble. Trout is obviously No. 1, because without him the Angels are horrible
e
3:01
Do you own any volcanoes, jeff?
Jeff Sullivan
3:01
I have in my possession many tiny parts of ones
troy
3:01
hey, when are you guys gonna take that mountain of membership $$$ and update your t-shirt offerings? A nice heather grey?
Jeff Sullivan
3:02
I *think* that's being worked on already?
Giants have the baseball lead on a Denard Span RBI single
Shortly I might switch over to Twins/Orioles because I want to see Park
e
3:03
Would you rather be hit with a fastball or tackled by a linebacker?
Bo
3:03
So the popular teams tend to have home games on the weekend? That's pretty nice for their fans.
Jeff Sullivan
3:03
Fastball
Poor Man's Rick Reed
3:03
Quick fact check re: scheduling, Yankees/Red Sox actually slated for 4 weekend series, 2 weekday.
Jeff Sullivan
3:03
Below the neck
Sean Dolinar
3:03
It factors into the scheduling optimization.
3:04
Patriot's Day is probably the roughest day to schedule because of the early start, travel and the CBA.
Adam
3:04
What is home to you guys?
Jeff Sullivan
3:04
Sean's in Pittsburgh, I'm in Portland (Oregon), Carson's on the moon
Kvn
3:06
Kluber v. Price may have been rained out, Keuchel v. Tanaka may have been rained out, but worry not Baseball fans, you'll be able to feast your eyes on Ervin Sanata v. Chris Tillman!
Frankie Fast Hands
3:06
Jack Morris had 14 consecutive opening day starts. Felix is on his 8th, Kershaw is on his 6th. Do either of them get there?
Jeff Sullivan
3:06
Going to assume no
klof
3:06
Chances Urias is in the conversation for Cy Young? What's the fewest IPs required to be in the discussion?
Jeff Sullivan
3:06
No chance at all
Kimball
3:07
Last year, when spring training pitcher injuries prompted stories everywhere, smart folks noted that it wasn't actually that huge of a jump over recent years. In contrast, this year still seems surprisingly quiet w/r/t pitcher injuries. Is that a fallacy, too? If not, do you expect a bunch of April injuries?
Jeff Sullivan
3:07
Almost wrote about this last week but going to hold off for now. Still, there haven't been many pitcher injuries yet, at least of the UCL variety. Relatively quiet, outside of, say, Capps and Collins etc
Druidiful
3:08
So does Carson really have any "work" to do, or was that just a way for him to get out of watching baseball?
Jeff Sullivan
3:08
Editing is hard
Greg Oden
3:09
Why would Bochy bat Bum in the 8-hole knowing he has the flu? Is a flu ridden Bumgarner a better hitter than a healthy Angel Pagan?
Jeff Sullivan
3:09
Based on the fact that he's pitching I think it's pretty clear they don't think he's totally compromised
Al
3:10
If you were in charge of designing a ballpark according to your own whim, what unique features would you build in? Lean pitchers park or hitters park?
Jeff Sullivan
3:10
Lean pitcher's park, but with low fences, and limited foul territory. In center field I'd install a Mike Trout
3:11
More runs for the Giants. RBI opposite-field flare for Belt
Kimball
3:11
Nate Silver's political analysis started from his smart modelling of polls, but now he's gone super nerdy over things like delegate rules and convention bylaws. What's your personal esoteric baseball nerd interest? Actually that's for Sean and Jeff. Carson, what's your personal guilty non-esoteric baseball interest?
Jeff Sullivan
3:11
Pitch comps, probably. Sean?
3:12
Sean?????!!?!!
Sean Dolinar
3:13
Hold on...I'm thinking!
Jeff Sullivan
3:13
SEAN
Sean Dolinar
3:13
Because delegate rules aren't really esoteric at the moment...but that's another discussion.
