You can't stand Buck Martinez messing up any non anglo name? Come on, Paul.
Paul Swydan
4:21
It's partly that, but it's more than that. I just don't like him very much.

I am all about the Jays Radio broadcast. I want Jerry Howarth to call my funeral.
Poor Man's Rick Reed

Audio opinions can certainly vary, but camera angle should be pretty definitive. Rays feed looking straight on.
Paul Swydan
4:23
Oh is it? I would switch to it, but I don't want to be behind. Interesting that them and ESPN have two different feeds.

What non-Scully TV broadcast do you like best, Paul? I'm a Cubs fan, but I think Len Kasper and Jim DeShaies is hard to beat.
Paul Swydan
4:23
I like pre-2016 Red Sox games the best.
4:24
To be perfectly honest, I often have the games on mute these days. Most nights for me involve editing a THT piece, and I find it hard to focus when I'm listening to audio where I don't know what's coming.
In other words, if I'm watching Moonrise Kingdom or Winter Soldier for the 100th time, I'm good. It's good background noise. Actively listening to a live game is totally different.
4:25
I like the Mets guys, I like the Padres, I like the Giants a lot.
The Rockies are terrible. The Jays are terrible. I don't care for Hawk.
4:26
Most teams are in that muddy middle where they're neither actively good or bad.
Here until Wrestlemania
4:26
Winter Soldier? Aight, which MLB teams are which Avenger? Oakland is obviously Hawkeye
Paul Swydan
4:26
I mean, let's save this for a day when baseball isn't exciting. This could be a whole thing.

I read a lot while watching baseball. I alternate between being able to move between the two seamlessly and having trouble reading. I get where you're coming from.
Paul Swydan
4:27
Yeah, it's different if I'm reading for leisure. I can get in a good rhythm of muting commercials and all that. But actively reading and editing is different.

I really like the astros broadcasts.
Paul Swydan
4:27
Can't say I have much experience with them.

"Moonrise Kingdom or Winter Soldier"? I approve.
Paul Swydan

Thanks!

multiple dimensions to best broadcaster. The guys who can provide good insight in a close, high-stakes game aren't necessarily the best at shooting the shit in an entertaining way when the game's at 8-0 in August.
Paul Swydan
4:28
That's true, which is why I love Don Orsillo, because he is good at both. Might watch a lot of crappy Padres baseball this year.
Shirtless George Brett
4:28
I use Armageddon as my default backround noise. I think i could probably quote the whole movie from memory
Paul Swydan
4:28
Yeah that's a good one. I watched that a lot in the VHS/DVD days.

no HR in the first game. Who hits 2016's first dinger?
Paul Swydan
4:28
Corey Dickerson?

4:28
Is this the first time a lineup has had two Logans in a row?
Paul Swydan
4:29
There can't be too many times this has happened.
Mike Oxlong
4:29
Why are you listening to an 8-0 game in August?
Paul Swydan
4:29
Because baseball is awesome.

Oh, it's Paul. Any chance Carson joins too?
Paul Swydan

Gee, thanks.
