No, if they get a six-run lead, Kluber is pitching a complete game and saving the whole bullpen for the Bauer experience in Game 2.

Whenever I see a "Shoulder Closed" sign while driving, I think of Jason Kipnis.

Bullpen might pitch more than half the innings in games 2-4
Dave Cameron

I'd say it's a good bet.
Paul Swydan

Def a good bet, especially if Bauer starts bleeding again.

the fox nfl music is totally inappropriate for the deliberate majesty of baseball!!!!

You know, I never thought about that much, because I DO like that song, but it would have been nice if they could have created at least a remix for baseball and/or other sports they televise.

why is trevor bauer bad at pitching? It really seems like he shouldnt be
Dave Cameron

Command is important.

Buck names Kipnis as "heart and soul"? I'd have bet on Napoli for that Buck honor.

Well it has to be a white guy.
Paul Swydan
8:59
Yeah heaven forbid it be Lindor. Or Fowler on the Cubs.
Nick

He's a white second baseman. Every white second baseman is the heart and soul
Elbo

"Heart and soul" is usually a catcher. Napoli at least is an ex-catcher.

Would you say command is most important?
Dave Cameron
9:00
Well there's a minimum threshold for stuff. Jared Weaver's command didn't do him any good this year.

Great move by Tito slotting Kluber for games 1, 4, and 7. An extra start by the guy whoy far their best starter, and game 4 is super pivotal since 75% of time the series is 2 games to 1.
Paul Swydan

Isn't Salazar pitching Game 4?

can they at least attempt to swing?
Paul Swydan

Fowler is definitely extra tall. And, he's also super ripped. That surprised me the first time I interviewed him, because he's so skinny and wears his uniform a little baggy, so you don't think of him as ripped. Or, at least I didn't.

$10 says Buck names Ross as heart-and-soul before the series is over.

Maybe Kluber thinks he can finally get his 20-strikeout game if it's in the World Series?
Aroldis Chimpout

Does Joe Buck not realize that the team Bernie Kosar played for relocated to Baltimore?
Paul Swydan

I believe that when the Browns came back they were granted the old Cleveland Browns' history.

Biggest baseball pet peeve: when we dig out obnoxious stats so we can have a "first". First time two 22-year-olds start at SS in the WS.

That is the first time Nate has complained about something in a live blog.
