That was a bit of a surprise by the Indians ..saving Kluber for Game2

But I was there in person today to hear why they are doing this ...

The Indians and Kluber apparently prefer he be on regular rest for a potential Game 5 ... and potentially be ready for a Game 1 ALCS start if the series is completed in four games or less in the Indians' favor
BUT if you lose Game 1 in a best-of-five, you have a 32% chance to win the series (all other factors being equal)

Of course not all other factors are equal , and maybe the Indians like the way the matchups play out with Kluber starting Game 2 ... but still curious
