I don’t like prescriptive definitions. Know why a hot dog isn’t a sandwich? Because nobody naturally thinks of it as one. Same with burgers, for that matter. The “definition” of a sandwich is what we as a culture understand to be a sandwich, not some pedantic rules about ingredients or form.
