Why is there any real consideration for 'Dodgers rumored to be interested in Lindor' aside from someone on the Indians side pumping up Lindor's trade value by suggesting a deep pocketed, prospect stocked franchise would waste valuable assets by trading for a marginal upgrade? This just seems phony, and fans who want 'new blood' or 'a change' from a team that won 100+ games are just being emotional... non-story if you ask, who wouldn't want the guy? Am i wrong?

I say this without inside info but, on the one hand it seems deeply silly, but on the other hand, Cleveland seems very unlikely to extend Lindor, and the Dodgers are one of the few teams with a system deep enough to snag him.

I'll note that when I constructed a top-down model of the series (Dan's is bottom-up starting with individual player projections) I had the Nats as very slight favorites.
It's close, is what I'm saying.
