Brewers walk it off in the 10th. Phillies currently batting in the bottom of the ninth tied at 2.
6:30
Scratch that, Phillies and Braves going to extras now.

The runner on second is so dumb

Seeing the new extra-inning rule in the first day that the world feels somewhat normal again is super weird

Kershaw’s line looks a lot worse than he actually pitched

Want to see the Rockies in first place! lol
Tony Wolfe

I've switched a lot but every time I go back to dot tv's main page the Royals/Rangers game has a different score and there are five guys on base

Dodgers game is really old school, 6 innings with just 6 Ks, 10 runs and no homers

There should be a “good when it helps my team” option

not a lot of rays/marlins chatter in here today, but both starting pitchers were really good. Glasnow 6 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 6 K. Alcantara 6 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 2 BB, 7 K.

Fangraphs used to have a game where you could pick one player per day and accumulate WAR. It was why I first created an account

The obvious compromise is to start the runner on 2nd in the 12th.  I just feel like a different game started and no sense of accomplishment when a team scores.  Plus, it only increase the pitchers trying to strike everyone out. Having rules a majority of fans dislike/hate isn't good for business.  But 90% of fans want more balls in play, quicker games, etc.  - 100% of mlb's in-game focus should be on this.

Here's my rule proposal

Any time someone suggests that the rule is a good idea, a giant anvil should drop on them

I feel like I've never been a fan of a team with a truly dominant bullpen (I'm a Cardinals fan). Please do not ask why I bring this up right now.

I think from a team/league perspective it does make sense to find ways to avoid the 12+ inning games. The season is a grind to begin with and to have to play a marathon night game then double back for a day game the next day is tough. Or to have it be a getaway day after a long extras game.

(I don't mind the runner on second)
6:43
Or at least, I don't hate it as much as I thought I would. I got used to it pretty quickly
AvatarDan Szymborski

We got used to a lot of things during Covidyear!

That's true!

Phillies just walked off the Braves. Jean Segura singles to left to finish it off

what would you guys choose: This whole season is spontaneously cancelled because reasons, or Having dinner with Kurt Schilling 5 meal course style?
AvatarDan Szymborski

I'd have every meal with him for a season rather than lose the season.
I'm a huge fan of being employed in addition to baseball!

Don’t care who you root for: hell of a double play by the Rockies.

It's not the players fault that their team's front office sucks
