Checking in live from my couch as well. Ray will be along in a little bit.

Here's my Day 2 mock draft tracker from earlier with some names to watch. Really like some. Suspect of others for reasons explained. So check it out. https://www.post-gazette.com/sports/steelers/2022/04/29/nfl-draft-day-...

Really wish Lewis Cine was still on the board!

What are your 'quick picks' for round two and three before it begins? And is anyone worth trading up for in either round?
Brian Batko
7:04
John Metchie III and Luke Goedeke
Adam Bittner
7:04
Skyy Moore and Jaquan Brisker are my quick ones. Also like Bernhard Raimann. Intrigued by Tyquan Thornton and Daniel Faalele, who is yuuuuge.
Ray Fittipaldo
7:05
Hello everyone. I'm looking at WR, DT and DB as needs on Day 2. Too many names to list, but keep an eye on Skyy Moore if he's still there at 52.

I hope we get Georgia WR Pickens.

Bryan, Ray, your honest opinions on our yesterday pick.. have you guys talked to Gerry today? I had the same mindset as his (no QB for me) don’t know  what to think now.. I guess I’m in now of course
Brian Batko
7:05
George Pickens is interesting. Great athlete, might turn out to be an elite wideout, but character/maturity concerns.
Ray Fittipaldo
7:06
I think Pickett can be a successful NFL QB in the right situation. Not sure this offense is stocked with enough talent for him to succeed right away. They still have some work to do tonight and tomorrow to surround him with some playmakers.

DT, WR, or a surprise with our #2 pick?
Ray Fittipaldo
7:06
My gut tells me WR in Round 2.
pdxJaxon
7:06
lots of great choices just mentioned.....
7:07
Travis Jones in 2 and Khalil Shakir in 3
mtfury
7:07
Guys, will they trade up for a receiver in the 2nd?
Brian Batko
7:07
Same here. Alec Pierce from Cincy is another possible second-round pick. Calvin Austin and Wan'Dale Robinson are dynamic playmakers but undersized, might be a reach in Round 2.

7:07
I know a lot of you were screaming for Jones at the end of the chat last night. Seems like he's the biggest possible crowd pleaser on the board.
Ray Fittipaldo
7:07
Not sure they have the draft capital to make a big move. Plus. this is a good class of WRs.
pdxJaxon
7:07
I dont see them trading up....they have too many needs and plenty of players there still
Paul
7:08
I like the safety pick--Jaquan Brisker, Penn State.
pdxJaxon
7:08
Yeah I read about George Pickens maturity issues....with Claypool's issues already in the locker room, we dont need more of that
Brian Batko
7:08
It's 7:08 and the Bucs are just now on the clock. BOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

While we wait for some Steelers action let’s play the which team is next team to take a QB and which one?
Ray Fittipaldo
7:09
Seattle and Washington could use a developmental QB like Willis.
JohnAP78
7:09
Maybe Detroit
mtfury
7:09
I do like Metchie from Alabama.

7:10
I'm a Pickett fan but I'm not sure he was the right pick one day later
Tom

How in the world does taking Pickett with their first pick make any sense? He appears to be a Trubisky.  Average NFL arm strength and accuracy. Footwork needs work. Good young man, can throw on the run. Not sure he can adjust to the speed in the NFL.
Ray Fittipaldo
7:11
The Steelers obviously think different. Tomlin said last night they love his pro accuracy. Seems like they have fewer concerns than you do.
Brian Batko
7:12
Here are my wild guesses for where the QBs land

Malik Willis - Falcons
Matt Corral - Seahawks
Desmond Ridder - Lions
Sam Howell - Texans

Crud. Didn’t mean to send…consequently, I think they have to go all in on bolstering the offense tonight instead -OL and WR. What thinkest thou, O PG Gurus?
Ray Fittipaldo
7:13
I think they need a young defensive lineman to groom for a future starter role.
Boknows
7:13
Colts could be a sleeper for a QB.  Even maybe NYG, they declined the 5th year option on Daniel Jones.
Brian Batko
7:13
Colts need to keep adding instant impact guys, in my humble opinion.
Tampa too
7:14
All night to think about it and Tampa  still has to take the full seven minutes for a draft pick?
Yates
7:14
Groom Ray?  Colbert says first 3 picks need to be starters.
Ray Fittipaldo
7:14
Yeah but it doesn't have to be in Week 1.
