I was surprised to see how many FG writers had the Red Sox as AL #1 seed (12 out of 26 voters). I see them as a good sleeper team, given last year's record--but was surprised to see them with that much traction among the wonkery. What say you?

The AL is a bit of a crapshoot, is it not? While I was a bit surprised myself, the Red Sox are as good a choice as any. That said, I went Orioles.

Did Baseball-Reference alter their WAR calculation slightly? I saw that some of the JAWS measures had changed (Altuve now has 40 peak war, for example).

It's funny how FanGraphs Depth Charts have the Yankees as the no. 3 team in baseball in fWAR this year, but the staff picked them to miss the postseason. Is that just injury concerns? The volatility of the AL?

FWIW: Depth Charts and ZiPS projects Jackson Merrill to have the most WAR out of the Jacksons in 2025.
