German Garcia: Laurent is here to talk about some exciting news on 5G. It is a reality and it's already here. It’s expected to be a massive revolution and bring in long narratives, along with interactive multimedia.

Laurent Lasserre: On being asked about how 5G would affect AIFP, she says, 5G will enhance consumption of video images and visual content to the places where broadband connection is not strong.

She adds, this would help them access content and AFP will help in this procedure. It also increases long coverage and creates different angles for news.

She shows the newsroom where many news shows are conducted and content created simultaneously.

Laurent Lasserre: Yes. We need to tell more stories in long and short formats.

Juliette Hollier: On being asked about how newsrooms should train their staff and be adaptable, Hollier said, we live in a multimedia environment.

Juliette Hollier: Nearly,1200 journalists are spread across the globe who are using it everyday to send and curate videos.

Juliette Hollier: One of our journalists actually completed his whole process on his way back home from the newsroom. A single reporter in the field of a typhoon could cover news with full fledged coverage.

Hollier also gives an example of yellow vest movement where the reporter used her smartphone to send live updates from a riot on a bridge.

German Garcia: 5G is a new concept, so we are not sure about the risks.What you think we can expect from future when 5G is fully established?

Laurent Lasserre: We collected information by IOT devices. We convert this data into application.

Robb Montgomery: Videos are sent and received via phone, like live news coverage, news readers are also benefiting since it is transforming the news production process.
He adds, so this is going to open up newer perspectives and open up newer opportunities. With Mojo and drone coverage, it's going to be very exciting for us.
