Hi Michael, thanks for your question. This is handled by each program, so you'll need to follow up with the Program Coordinator. Can you tell me the program you are joining?

Vikram, Penn Engineering doesn't offer financial aid to master's students, domestic or international. You can, however, find potential sources of aid here: http://www.cis.upenn.edu/prospective-students/graduate/aid.php and here:

what does one CU mean? and how many CU's can one take each semester?
AvatarWill Fenton, Asst Dir
10:22
Vikram, one CU = one Course Unit, or one class. Students can take up to four courses, or 4 CUs, per semester without special permission. Anything more than 4 CUs require a petition and multiple department approvals.

Is there an option for me to apply to double degree while doing my masters?. I am joining the nanotechnology, mse program.
AvatarWill Fenton, Asst Dir
10:27
Vikram, yes, you can apply for a second master's degree. You have to wait to apply until you have completed at least one semester in good standing. You can find more information here: https://grad.seas.upenn.edu/student-handbook/academic-options/#2degree

Hi Will. I received an email stating that the class of 2021 will be the final group of EMBS students. I was thinking of deferring for this fall and starting in spring. Considering this update, is it still possible to defer?
AvatarWill Fenton, Asst Dir
10:30
Dennis, that is a great question. I believe it is, but I'm not 100% certain. Can you email us at gradstudies@seas.upenn.edu and I'll get back to you as soon as I get an answser from our Associate Dean?
Vikram
