The Hall of Fame is an independent organization, sin't it? In theory, couldn't some eccentric billionaire just build their own hall, quite similar to the "real" one, but also include Bonds, Clemens, etc. And then continue to add new people in a very similar method to the "real" hall?

I understand entrenched monopolistic policies, but...how great would it be, in this age of the internet, if the MLB licensed out the video broadcast, and we had a world of different "booths" across the country (globe?) doing different types of broadcasts that cater to different types of fans?
