I find it rather amazing that baseball people don't accept the fact that a starting lineup is no longer 9 men but 10.
Baseball has its own version of separate offenses and defenses. It isn't like a team has to play with 8 men on defense because the DH doesn't take the field.

Maybe this is an unpopular opinion but it seems like the players are more safe under the eye of MLB, because it was a mess during initial testing, but got under control relatively quickly.  Like there has been a lot of debate about whether the season should’ve been played, but I haven’t seen anyone say maybe in real terms it was more dangerous to not play, which in actuality is just an indictment of the players

This is going to sound really dickish, but the reason there was such a variety of offense in the good ol' days is there were simply a lot of teams that didn't actually have any idea how runs scored in baseball
