Or at the very least, that no one is making aesthetic decisions that hurt their pitching comfort

Oh, quite a bit. That's two extra games of plus starting pitching for them should they make the ALCS, plus it improves their chances of winning today

I've always wondered if baseball uniforms are making players worse, even just slightly... Just seems weird we make athletes wear belts and button-down shirts while asking them to go be athletic!

I get player happiness, but I wouldn't be surprised if front offices subtly encouraged managers to remove shaky starters who are in line for a win to keep the starter-win totals down for arbitration (plus, you know, increase team W expectancy).
