The Cavs have expressed interest in Tony Allen. That possibility is still there. Right now, they seem focused on trades that will move Iman Shumpert and/or Channing Frye. Especially Shumpert.

My guess is, Shumpert is traded before camp. Once the Carmelo situation is resolved is when the Cavs and others will really start making some deals, IMO.

Because we see Golden State making more great moves that can keep their run of absolute domination in total check, Boston making really good signings and picks that could soon give Cleveland a run for their money. Golden State somehow keeps getting better and it's concerning.

Golden State was able to make those moves because they drafted well with Curry, Thompson and Green and had Durant fall into their lap. I don't think the Cavs are having an awful offseason. I think there is plenty of offseason left, and they refuse to make a deal just to make it.
That said, I do wonder about the Calderon and Korver deals. I think you could've seen what else was out there and been more patient.

I wouldn't say Love is totally off the board. But to answer your question, yes, they would part with Tristan.
If the Rockets and Knicks strike a Carmelo trade, the Cavs may call and say, "Hey, Knicks. We'll give you Love. Ready to deal?"

That may not happen, too. But it could. That's why trades are so hard to predict. Everything is very last minute.
The Knicks could even call the Cavs in that situation. "We're close to a trade with the Rockets. But we thought we'd check with you first. Ready to trade us Love?"

He has and Carmelo would prefer the Cavs for the reason I mentioned above. But all parties know contracts and salary caps make things tough. That's why they were put in place, I guess.

I'm sure he is. But I can also tell you that the owners, front office, coaches and others pay so little attention to the media and what people say about them ... well, it's fairly stunning. They really just do not pay attention unless it's an absolute firestorm.

I'm not sure. I thought it always added a nice dynamic to All-Star weekend, because most people don't care about the game.
