For outpatient offices, is there any talk about closing? Such as cancer centers?
Einstein Healthcare Network

We are constantly reviewing our schedules to determine which patients need to be seen in the practice, which patients can be deferred, and which patients can be done via telemedicine.

Einstein Montgomery has been out of bottles of hand sanitzer. Any idea when that supply will be replenished?
Einstein Healthcare Network

Our inventory reflects that we are not currently out of hand sanitizer. Please forward any supply issues to your direct supervisor so they can address this issue. Our supply team is working diligently to ensure services are equipped with the necessary supplies and PPE.

I do not have any PTO left and my 11 month olds daycare is not open until further notice. I truly do not have anyone who is available to take care of him for me. Luckily today my sister was able, however she is also taking care of my sick mother and her two children who are not in school until further notice. Yesterday I had to call out due to no help with child care. What do I do then?

Thank you for raising this concern.  We understand this issue and we are evaluating our PTO plan to respond to employee needs.  In the meantime, please contact your Human Resources Service Specialist if you need additional support.

If we suspect we contracted COVID while at work, do we go to ER? Can we get a test in Livewell?
Einstein Healthcare Network
2:24
We've gotten a lot of questions regarding testing for employees. We are not performing testing at Livewell. As with all illnesses, we would recommend staff contact their primary care provider to determine what the best treatment would be. People that are not severely ill do not need to come to the ED and should not because it exposes them to other patients who may be sicker. It is best to coordinate your care through your primary physician.

Can Human Resources please consider allowing employees to donate their PTO to fellow employees who are facing challenges with childcare, care for sick relatives, and w/o the ability to work remotely? I'm sure there are many who would like to help! Thank you for fielding all of these questions!

Einstein currently has a Catastrophic Donation policy.  Please see the Policy Search section on EinsteinConnect for more information.

Hi. Any way the network can buy more PAPRs? Are they in short supply like N95s?  How many PAPRs do we have and where are they?
Einstein Healthcare Network

There are PAPR's located throughout each hospital and are available for employees who are unable to fit test. Please reach out to your supervisor if you have any questions about their location. We are also working on purchasing additional PAPR's for the hospitals.
