I recently submitted an application for the PhD program for CS and noticed on some user forums that acceptances have been given out already, if so, should I be worried that I have not yet even heard anything back?

Chongguang, you can expect a decision on April 5th, if your application is complete by the deadline. Last year we had 192 applicants and admitted 27%.

Jeremy, this is specifically determined by the program after you are admitted. You may be able to get credit for courses, but this decision is made on a per-student basis.

CJ, it is pretty strict. What we'd suggest if you have a lot of additional samples you'd like to show would be putting these up on a website and then including the link in your portfolio/personal statement/CV.

For example, it is stated that 15-25 images is recommended, however, for my current job, I design a lot of  small individual custom heating jackets for pipes, valves and lab equipment and I do not have a one huge project so I have a lot of individual pictures of jackets. I want to show the variety products that I have designed but there will be a quite a lot of pictures. How strict is that is 25 images the limit?

Kim, while it definitely boosts the chances of getting in, it is not mandatory and faculty recognize that it is only one part of a full application.
