Good morning! - The stats on http://www.cis.upenn.edu/prospective-students/graduate/applying-stats.... indicate that there were 714 applicants in Fall 2018 and only 73 admitted for MCIT. I assume this is for the on campus program or is this combining the Online program as well? Is the ratio different for the online program to account for platform scale through Coursera?

Hi Lisset, that is only for the on-campus program. The Online program didn't start until this January.

We admitted approximately 200 applicants for this past spring, out of 1385 applicants, and then admitted an additional 100 for a summer cohort.

Hello, What is the acceptance rate for MSE IPD and MS IPD?

Hi Guest, previously the MSE IPD had a 25% admit rate and the M:IPD program had a 35% admit rate.

Hello. I have submitted my application to UPenn on Feb 1st but only had two recommendations out of the three. I contacted the Graduate Admissions department and they said this would not be an issue. Could you please confirm this? Thank you

Abhimanyu, that is correct - we only require two, so as long as one of the two that were submitted were from an academic source, you are fine.

Han, that was for the first cohort, however, especially due to the large amount of press the program received, as well as offering an application fee waiver for the first deadline, we received more applications than we believe we'll receive for the fall cohort at this time.

Hello Mr Fenton, I found that recent E-mail shows that the MS of Mechanical Engineering's decision will be sent on 3 different days, but you told us that they will be made on April 5th. Did it changed?

Vipul, the decisions are sent on a rolling basis, so I can't say when you'll definitely receive a decision, but you WILL receive a decision.
