I am sure answer for this question wont be straight forward but how much GRE score matters(%) in admission procession? I carry 4 year of exp + great CV/SOP… I could see from previous year admission’s, majority candidate had 320+ GRE, and many will agree that high GRE doesnt represent true potential.

Hi Pramod, it matters, but we recognize that it's only one part of the application and the score usually means more about how ready you are for Grad School, then predicting success (or not) in Grad School.

Guest, the first date that decisions will be released is April 5. However, if you submitted it in March, it will most likely be released on one of the later dates.

Jayi, last year's rate was about 14%. As for this year, you'll get a decision either March 22 or April 5.

Hello Will! Thank you for holding the chat. I am BME PhD applicant. understand that PhD admission is made on rolling base. I was wondering if I could get an information with regards to last day for decision announcement. Knowing that the date for applicant to make a decision nationally is April 15th, would I have a time between announcement date and national decision making date. Thank you for your help!

BME, we unfortunately don't have a specific last date for when decisions will be available, but we do try to release them before the April 15 deadline.

Adan, we wouldn't look at any materials you submitted last year, unless it's test scores that were not expired. All other materials reviewed would be from this year's application.

Guest, that was the early decision deadline for the ONLINE MCIT program - those decisions, if your application was complete by the deadline, will be released on April 15.

Hi, I applied to the Masters in Biotechnology program and the email said I would receive a decision on one of the following dates: 4/5, 4/19, 5/1, or 5/15. As three of these dates are after April 15, how does that work with the April 15 Resolution?

Sreshta, Penn Engineering doesn't follow the April 15 deadline for master's decisions because we don't aid to master's students. The resolution is specifically for programs that offer aid to students.

Ikenna, I have info about ALL of those programs: ROBO had approx 14% rate, EE had a 54% rate and MEAM had a 50% rate.

Deepti, the waitlist folks will be informed usually by the beginning of May at the latest, but it could be earlier. And the cohort is usually about 15-20, but no bigger.

Guest, if this is for the MCIT Online program, then no. That is the stated release date on their website. If it is for the ON CAMPUS program, you will receive a decision on 4/5, 4/19, 5/1, or 5/15
