Hi TC, we received 924. As for how many will be admitted, I don't know. Only the dept knows that at this point, and a lot of it is determined by the available funding.

I got admit in MSE Data Science. The letter says that I can confirm after March 15, however your place in the class cannot be guarnted, but admiison is still valid! What does this mean?

Hi Riya, it means if you wait until after Feb 15 to confirm, you'll need to wait until March 15 to submit your decision. It also means that if your class were to fill up prior to you submitting your decision, you would be asked to defer once you had submitted your decision. However, this isn't something we've had to ask anyone to do so far, so you should be ok, especially if you submit it shortly after March 15, if you don't submit it earlier.

How is living in Pennysylvania? Is there any link for estimating living costs on-campus or off- campus?

Hi Rhuta, living in Philadelphia is pretty great, although I'm biased, since I've lived here for 17.5 years. You can find a cost estimator here: https://www.expatistan.com/cost-of-living/philadelphia

We have all 4 seasons, pretty good public transportation, excellent nature close to the city, the largest city parks system in the country, terrific restaurants and cultural events, awesome sports teams and Penn itself is pretty great! :)
