Good morning Will, How are you?

Good morning, Carlos Andres. I am very well, thank you. How are you?

I am an applicant in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering, PhD.
Today, I reported additional TOEFL scores for 'My best score'.
Can it be reflected in the valuation of my candidacy?
AvatarWill Fenton, Enrollment Specialist
10:03
Jae Won, if the exam was taken after the Dec 15 application deadline, we will not consider the new scores. If the exam was taken before Dec 15, you can send the scores to admissions2@seas.upenn.edu, but there is no guarantee that the scores will be considered, as your application is already under review.

Hello will~ Our phd admit decision is made by the comittee or the POI? Can we check the result online or just from the Email? will we rotate in the first semester of EE and CS phd?
AvatarWill Fenton, Enrollment Specialist

Alice, the decisions are usually made by a combination of feedback from individual faculty and the review committee. You will receive a notification through email that a decision is ready and you can log into your application account to see the decision.

Hi Will, I have submitted an application to bioengineering's ph.D, program. Can I submit some updated information to my application? If it is possible, where should I submit it?
AvatarWill Fenton, Enrollment Specialist
10:05
Amy, you can send an email to admissions1@seas.upenn.edu. However, there is no guarantee that new information will be reviewed, as all applications that are complete are currently being reviewed.

I have applied to a doctoral program in Mechanical engineering. I have not contacted any professor regarding the opportunities available at their research group. Will it be disadvantageous for me? Is it too late to contact professors regarding the opportunities available at their labs?
AvatarWill Fenton, Enrollment Specialist
10:06
PB, you are always free to contact our faculty. However, as the deadline was over a month ago, it may be a bit late. Ultimately, if you haven't received a decision there's always a chance it could be helpful.

Good morning, Will. I am an applicant in Computer and Information Science, PhD. My current application status is Materials Needed, although I sent my IELTS score. Is there any problem with my application ?
AvatarWill Fenton, Enrollment Specialist
10:11
Hi Hieu, probably not. You can send an email to admissions2@seas.upenn.edu and they can provide more specific information. However, if we haven't contacted you asking for additional documents, you should be fine. It usually means that we may have not entered your official IELTS scores and/or matched your official GRE scores at this point.

I applied to the Bioengineering, PhD Program, Where can I check the status of my application? Is there any estimated date for the admission decision?
AvatarWill Fenton, Enrollment Specialist
10:12
Carlos, you can log into your application account: https://www.applyweb.com/upenng/index.ftl.
However, when you receive a decision you'll receive an email from us telling you that you've received a decision. And we do not have an estimated decision release date - PhD decisions are released on a rolling basis.

Hi Will. Hope you are doing well.
I am an MSE PhD applicant. I have got multiple queries:
  1. How many applicants were there for the MSE PhD program last year and how many were accepted?
  2. What was the average section-wise GRE scores of the admitted students?
  3. How many have applied to the MSE PhD program this year?
