Only if he starts running a lot more than he has so far.

hi Ray, which one of these SP currently rehabbing and soon ready to be back in mlb do you like most : canning, crawford, dobbins, ajss, sandoval? Are they worth stashing on my bench or should I just wait to see some mlb starts first? I am in a 15 teams league with 10 players bench, Thank you
Ray Murphy
12:30
I don't think I like any of those enough to be worth a stash. Canning if I were picking one, but I'm not excited about it.

oh hey, 10 team AL -only...need a replacement for Hays... rank these trrbl options (man it's early too!)... Isbel, AMartinez, Loperfido, Soler. thanks, Happy Friday!
Ray Murphy
12:33
I grabbed some Isbel shares in FAAB last weekend, I'm pretty interested. And Loperfido is quietly playing vs all RHP (HOU just hasn't faced that many) and may play even more if Meyers is out for more than just day-to-day.

Happy Friday!  My league rules dictate that I have to move Abel from RP to SP and I either have to free up space for him or drop him.  Would you keep him over Burrows or Randy Vazquez?  Or possibly find a way to trade one of my other guys (Woo, Gilbert, Castillo, Soriano, Gausman.  Also have Cole stashed)? Or just let Abel go?
Ray Murphy
12:34
I wouldn't dump Vasquez, or anyone else except Burrows. But I'd probably just let Abel go.

Vientos off to a strong start and seeing regular PT.  Is he a hold or sell?
Ray Murphy
12:35
I was on him all winter, the Forecaster writeup was optimistic, but then the Mets seemingly blocked him everywhere. But that's less of a problem already, and if Polanco gets IL'd he'll get more running room. I'd hold.

Friday greetings, Ray. NL-only, 12-team, dynasty. I stashed Musgrove, Schwellenbach, and Braxton Garrett on my reserve. By the end of June, are those three rotation pieces providing decent value, or am I sniffing glue again?
Ray Murphy
12:36
If you're counting on all 3, put down the glue gun. If you get one back at full strength, consider that a win.

My offense is off to a very slow start.  Guys like Kurtz, J-Rod, Busch, Suarez, Perdomo, Swanson, Bohm, and Buxton are killing me (doesn't help that I also lost Chourio).  Which of these guys, if any, have you very concerned?  Would you sell low on any of them? Or just apply the old "exercise excruciating patience" mantra?
Ray Murphy
12:37
Those guys are all too good to give up on this early. Also, lots of cold weather guys in that list.

Hi Ray, in my 5x5 home league, would you recommend dropping Doyle for Cam Smith?
Ray Murphy
12:38
I don't think Cam can keep this up with so many strikeouts + GBs. But... still might be worth dropping Doyle to see if I'm wrong.

Hi Ray,

In deep 5x5 redraft league with no IL and 6 bench spots, would you roster Colt Emerson or Brito now?
I have Walker and B Lowe and then a collection of so MI/CI (J. Fernandez, J Caballero, A Volpe and W Castro).  Waiver wires has: Sam Antonacci, Hye Seong Kim, Amed Rosario, Juan Brito, Javier Sanoja, and Cooper Pratt.
Ray Murphy

As always, I'm not the right guy to handle prospect questions. But assuming he's up soon, I think you take Emerson here. Give up Castro for the flier.

AL only, obp.  Assuming Gelof gets the call up, do you like MMassey or Gelof more so?
Ray Murphy
12:40
Gelof for ceiling and park.

I am riding in a magic carriage in 12-team leagues right now, but Statcast already sees the pumpkin.  Should my owners (i) be worried or (ii) stay the course— Cinderella doesn't get to keep the glass cleats!
Ray Murphy

The 45% hit rate can't last, but he popped on our QBaB list this week, so that's something. Glove ensures the PT too. I'm willing to ride him for a while. Just know he won't hit .375.

AL only.  I have had Arrighetti when he was not so good.  I trust him not is my instinct.  Looks like he will get an opportunity now.  This year will be different?
Ray Murphy
12:43
I liked him beginning of last year, then that freak injury knocked him out. Give him a pass on what he did when he came back late in the year. I'm still interested, HOU is going to need him.

Too early to bail on Willi Castro?
Ray Murphy
12:44
Depends on the alternative, but I wouldn't be super attached to him if you see something better.

Ray, my pitching is painful.  Is Hunter Brown done for the year?  Will Grayson make it back to form, and finally are Dustin May and Shane Baz lost causes?  Thanks for your thoughts...
Ray Murphy
12:45
I'm not a doctor, but not optimistic about Brown. The Grayson situation doesn't seem serious, but obviously a lot of baggage there. I have zero faith in Dustin May. Baz is by FAR the best option on this list.

15 team Mixed, obp, 10 player IL.  Probably just seeking validation here.  My approach is to just hold onto MShaw and hope for injury now?  His PT looks to surely dive...
Ray Murphy
12:46
There are theoretically a lot of ways they can work him into the lineup. I wish he'd done a bit more while Seiya was out, but I would think they're going to try to not completely bury him. Still, PT has to go down some now.

12 team 5x5 with OBP. Stuck with a 3B conundrum after drafting Polanco, who is clearly not right. Who’s the best bet to replace: Colt Keith, Gorman, House, Willi Castro, or Shaw? Keith, Gorman, and Castro have 2B eligibility as well which is a consideration (Keaschall is my starter).
Ray Murphy
12:46
I like Keith a lot, would try him.

Thoughts on Josh Bell
Ray Murphy
12:47
I think we know what he is. Last April he started terribly and leveled off. This year he's starting hot... but he'll level off again.

Hi Ray Can you rank M Shaw, J Lawlor, E Tovar J westburg ROS Thanks !
Ray Murphy
12:48
No idea how to rank Lawlar or Westburg against these other two. At least Tovar is an everyday guy, that has to bubble him to the top here.
Steve
12:49
What do you make of Sheehan? How long would you continue to hold him in 12 teamers with QS instead of W?
Ray Murphy
12:49
Concerned, but LA wouldn't let him go out there if he was hurt. Maybe mechanical, maybe something like dead arm. I'd give him another couple of starts at least.

Hi! 12-tm, H2H, category … want to drop a bat to create bench slot for streaming or adding an SP. All were auction targets, but please rank to drop Matt McLean, Jorge Polanco, Jacob Marcee, Luke Keashall. Thanks !
Ray Murphy
12:49
Sounds like Polanco is going to IL, so maybe that solves your problem.

OK, think I'll wrap it here. Thanks everyone, have a great weekend! Brent is traveling, so I'll actually be back here to cover for him on Monday at noon. Catch you then!
