Likely to be much later in 2025 IF he kills it at AA; just started his season this week due to a wrist injury. Drafted him in some early leagues hoping he mashed his way through spring training, but injury put the brakes in that. Now, might be 2026 even though SF has room at 1B.

Will Ty France help or hurt me ROS in AL only?  Is he going to play ROS regardless of his production?  (Also same question for MMuncy in NL only... but I tell myself "it is early" for him -- wishful thinking?)

Both of these guys, in only-leagues, are going to help. The financial situation in MIN (not spending) means that France is their guy for 2025. I'd watch Muncy's PT — he's getting some days off early on here — but end of the day, should be fine to rebound.

Just read bhq article on SP, specifically Bibee's change of pitch mix not being effective.     Is it difficult for an SP to change back to his old approach if new pitch mix is ineffective?  Just a matter of one meeting with Pitching coach and Bibee and maybe a catcher?  Just curious how that works.

Great question ... but the answer all depends on things we're not privvy to. In this case, did Bibee or the team drive the pitch mix change initially? How committed is either party to that change? Does the cruddy results so far on it weigh over everything? Seems logical that at some point, going back should be an option. But is that simple to do in mid-season? Just another example of the fascinating game we all follow.

Kurtz have the skillset to be relevant in 12 team mix h2h leagues?
Brent Hershey
12:57
Yes. Will he? Trusting the team on this one -- for now, they think so (they brought him up, etc)

Thanks for doing this, Brent. Any thoughts on Ryan Walker's command issues? Doesn't seem to know where his sinker is going at the moment.

It's a bit concerning, yes. And they seem to have an ample replacement in-house. Doval's not perfect either, but there are other options there in SF.

Great Friday Brent - great article today, speaking of platoons and handedness, wondering if I should continue to hold Conforto.  Really like that lineup but he's struggling.  Also curious about a Pederson turnaround in Texas. He's been dumped in most of my leagues.  Inquiring minds want to know.

Thanks for the kind words ... Yeah, Conforto's elevated K rate is concerning. I'd probably still hold, but watch closely. Pederson could be a stash, but I'd prefer to wait until I see SOME sighs of life. And if TEX goes away from him — they haven't yet — then all bets are off. It's a confounding fall, really.

Who do you like better ROS - Quero or Augustin Ramirrez?
Brent Hershey

Quero is more slump-proof from what I've seen so far.

Brent - 12 team league and I just got outbid for Cade Smith. Current closers are Halvorsen, Tinoco and Tanner Scott. Worth dropping Halvorsen for someone more speculative with a better team context (i.e. Vest, Yoho, someone else you think could snipe saves)?

Might do it for Vest. Mentioned Slaten, Hodge earlier as good candidates. Weaver, too, if he's not gone already.

Alright ... sorry couldn't get to them all; great questions all around. I'll be back here Monday at noon ET again. Great weekends, all!
