Pretty interchangeable group. Make me pick one, I'll say Bogaerts today, maybe someone else tomorrow.

Thank you !!
Ray Murphy

  1. Liberatore, Meyer, Holmes, Warren, Sproat.
  2. Not my field. But I assume Emerson is up imminently.
  3. Baker for sure.

Is Luis Gil worth a stash? Seems like he could fill 5th starter role, will it be worth it with Cole and Rodon close to returning?
Ray Murphy
12:35
Yes, he actually is the 5th SP, they just sent him down because they were skipping him first time through. I believe he's slated to start for the Yankees next weekend when the #5 spot comes up. Don't worry about what happens when Cole and Rodon come back. It's a problem when it's a problem, not until then.

pick one CI to roster ROS; Kyle Manzardo or Noah Shanuel
Ray Murphy
12:36
Manzardo.

Caleb Killian going to have any shot at saves in SF?
Ray Murphy
12:36
See above comment on Vitiello. Starting to look like anyone and everyone has a shot there.

14 team mixed roto. Who do you like among guys like Vasquez, Mlodzinski, Roupp, Taillon, Pfaadt, McCullers, and Detmers. Thanks.
Ray Murphy
12:37
Most of these covered earlier. Among the new names: Vasquez is another velocity riser, I'm intrigued with him. Always been a Detmers fan too, but remains to be seen how this transition goes. Hard pass on Taillon.

Hi Ray. Which lower ranked ADP pitchers have improved their fastball speed 2-3 mph so far?
Ray Murphy
12:38
Ryan Bloomfield covered this topic in the Speculator this week.

Hi Ray--How worried should I be about Griffin Jax? I'm in a holds league and have put him on my bench for now, but do you think he's worth stashing? My alternatives are Chris Martin, Brad Keller, and Gregory Soto. Thanks.
Ray Murphy
12:39
Definitely bench, but I wouldn't drop yet. (Although as a Santana owner, Soto is making me nervous).

hi Ray, thank you for these chats. Would you draft jp crawford from waiver to replace ortiz, l acuna, rengifo on my bench or w castro on my active lineup? Or is it a too close to call => not worth the cost of loosing my draf ranking for such a small improvement?
Ray Murphy
12:40
Crawford's a pretty empty stat line, I wouldn't rush to add him. Keep what you have, let the season breathe a bit more.

Good morning Ray.  I'm in a 16 Team Mixed Roto KEEPER League.  I believe you can never have enough pitching.  I have Snell and Bryce Miller as injury stashes.  I picked up Rhett Lowder to replace Pepiot to start the year.  My rotation is currently Lowder, Baz, G Williams, Eury P, and Painter.  All guys have good price tags and would be bargains next year if there as good as i hope they'll be.  I'm going to have to make some trades.  My question:  Once Miller and Snell are back, who are the best 5 for the rest of the year?  Who are the best 5 over, say, this year AND next year, if different?     Thank You.
Ray Murphy
12:41
I can't answer this right now, and you don't need an answer now. Miller and Snell's injuries are giving you the gift of time to evaluate your current staff. Use it.

Who you got in a make or break decision? Troy Johnston or Tyler Freeman?
Ray Murphy
12:42
I guess Johnston, though not super enthusiastic about either.
opportunity knocks
12:43
hi Ray, in the blurb on his profile: bhq mentions that with the improvement from 2023 to 2024 to 2025 and a new grip on his changeup, Baker could be ready to seize an opportunity if it happens. With Cleavinger, a lefty, just placed on dl, uceta having shoulder problems (I never like those), Jax having problems and used in other situations than late innings: could it be THE opportunity. Baker is pitching well to start the season. It could be early to stash him on my bench, but my league is usually agressive on drafting apparent closers from waivers. Thank you
Ray Murphy
12:43
Yes, Baker should basically be rostered everywhere at this point. He's good, and the opportunity is right there.

Good afternoon Ray! In a H2H 12 team points league and looking for a utility hitter for the week and have some options:

Owen Cassie
Daylen Lile
Michael Vargas
Nolan Schanuel
Jung Hoo Lee
Liam Hicks

Please rank for the week and ROS
Ray Murphy
12:44
Sorry, I haven't looked ahead at weekly schedules yet, and those matter a ton for these decisions. Consult our The Week Ahead tool, it's awesome for these kinds of calls.

Looks like I ripped through all of your questions and left myself a few minutes for lunch before the top of the hour. Enjoy the weekend, everyone! Brent will be back here on Monday...
