Gore more than Sevy; just given pedigree/youth/and better health history. Will say, though, that Severino's gains are worth noting.

No questions here Brent, just want to rejoice in Tyler Oneil’s hot start!

Here for the people.

Hi Brent, what do you think of CJ Abrams injury. Is it day to day or a trip to the DL is on the table?
Brent Hershey
12:50
No insight; seems more day-to-day right now.

How much (if any) of an overreaction is it to say that any pitcher who throws consistently in the high 90s needs to be valued a little lower because of the elevated risk which comes with throwing so hard?  I know ALL pitchers are risky, but the hard throwers, especially the young ones (Eury, Strider just the latest in a long line), almost never seem to make it to their prime years without a major elbow issue.
Brent Hershey
12:53
It's an overreaction, especially if you're not drafting those guys. No doubt a brutal weekend (or really, start of the season), but you'll be missing out if you discount these pitchers. Also remember that Bieber cannot be lumped into the "consistently throwing high-90s" crowd. For fantasy, you just make your calls the best you can and live with the consequences.

Hi Brent, Is this correct order for shallow SOLDs league: Gallegos,  C. Green, Y. Garcia, B. Stewart, I. Hamilton?

Also, thought on Renaldo Lopez in ATL rotation ROS?
Brent Hershey
12:54
Think I'd put Green first in that list; the rest seem right.

No problems with Lopez in the rotation for now, but where I'm rostering him I'm fully aware this won't last all season (workload).

Aaron Ashby and Steve Matz both in FAAB pool, NL-only, 12-team league. Worth a bid or should I chase SB with Jacob Young? Does the latter have the chance of sticking for the season?
Brent Hershey
12:55
Think your chances are better focusing on those pitchers than Young, esp with Crews/Wood in the high minors.

I keep hoping Andrew Vaughn will live up to his prospect hype, but so far he has been mediocre at best. Still only 26 years old though. Is he worth holding onto as a starting 1B in a dynasty league? Or better to pick up France or Kirilloff and hope Manzardo (who I have) develops into a quality 1B?
Brent Hershey
12:56
Eh, think I'd hang with Vaughn in a dynasty. As mentioned above, IF Kirilloff turns into an everyday guy for MIN, maybe I'd prefer later in the season. But can't make that leap now.

How patient should I be with Edouard Julien in a 12-team mixed OBP league? I know the answer is usually "excruciatingly" this early in the season, but guys like Conforto, Kirilloff, Caballero, and Busch are free agents and are off to much better starts.
Brent Hershey
12:57
Still prefer Julien; Busch and Kirilloff are the two of the second group that I'd keep an eye on, however. Believe in their hot starts a bit more than the others.

. where does whitlock fit, starter ..closer ros thank you
Brent Hershey

Think the beauty is that it could be either. I'd lean starter the rest of the way, though, if I HAD to make a choice.

Is Wallner not going to get at bats this year? He's starting games but seems to be pulled halfway though, resulting in very few at bats
Brent Hershey
1:00
Has not helped at all that he's not hitting righties as he should be. Fear the chicken/egg thing here -- won't get enough AB to get out of the funk he needs to. Steaky player to start; this ain't helping.

Will Sheets get full time at bats for the rest of the year on the awful White Sox team? Are they going to put him/Eloy back in the OF when he is back?
Brent Hershey
1:01
Don't think Sheets is a full-timer; in a perfect world he's a strong-side platoon guy. Not a perfect world right now in CHI with Eloy and Robert on the IL. There's a case for riding this out; just know overall that lineup is weak, of course.

Sano had a better week and looks competent. Could he really be useful in deep leagues after nearly 2 years away from baseball?
Brent Hershey
1:03
Depends on your definition of "useful," but I think he can roughy provide what he did before (HRs, Ks, little defensive value, value at any time predicated on hot/cold streaks).

Hi, could you rank these sp for the next few months: y rodtiguez, lorenzen, clevinger, winn, tyler Anderson, bradford? Thank you for considering my question,
Brent Hershey

Winn, Bradford, Clevinger, Rodriguez, Anderson, Lorenzen?

Want little part of those last 3

NL only 2 catcher league. Doesn’t matter much, but need a 2nd catcher. Higashioka, Narvaez, or Adams?
Brent Hershey
1:04
Narvaez. My condolences.

What are your early impressions of Jackson Merrill? Is he 12 team mixed worthy?
Brent Hershey
1:05
Mostly positive impressions, but he's still chasing a ton out of the zone. Fringe of 12-team worthy, but keep a close eye on this as pitchers will adapt.
Bob

Hi Brent. Is Joey Bart starting to figure things out?
Brent Hershey
1:06
Too early to say ... but OTOH this was a one-time top prospect who has a new start. Would not be the first to thrive with a new lease on life.
Ron

Any worry re Manny's elbow and slow start at plate?
Brent Hershey
1:07
No; really should have been factored in as a possiblity. Pads don't seem to be rushing anything (DHing him). Just will take some time.

Hi Brent!  With injury to Strider, do you think Hurston Waldrep might be coming up sooner than later?
Brent Hershey
1:07
Yes, though wouldn't be looking for it right now.

Please pick Three P to be active this week in 5x5 mixed w/ s+h on 10 active P staff - Ashby, Heaney, Turnbull, Poche, Nardi, Mason Miller (have Chad Greed, Yimi Garcia and 5 SP in other slots). Which three? Thanks!
Brent Hershey

Turnbull, Miller, Heaney (Ashby #4)

Do you think Junior Caminero is a good stash or will the Rays not use him as fantasy players would want them to?
Brent Hershey
1:09
Good stash; his talent enough that I feel once TAM has him up, they will play him most every day. Different level than Mead, Deluca, Ramirez, etc etc
Doug

Imanaga looks pretty good so far, definitely some luck aided in the early results in my opinion.  Would you try and sell high for something more established, or wait and really see what we have here?
