Hi Team! How are you doing? I just wanted to say thank you for Saturday - I'm really excited to be joining events in February!
Aneesah

Just wanted to know how many events you must attend to stay on the programme?

@Murshal Hi!
Murshal

I wanted to ask something about the Access to Leeds programme
AvatarMatthew John

Hi @Jonny. Great, thanks. Glad you enjoyed the event. We look forward to seeing you again in February!

Hi everyone
AvatarShauni Sanderson

@Aneesah! Hi! We expect you attend at least 3 events across Y12 - a minimum of one from the blue, red and yellow colour strands to be eligible to stay on the programme in Y13. To graduate from RfE you need to attend 5 events in total across Y12 and Y13

Hi @Becca.
Aneesah
4:03
And also, if you’re on the rfe programme, are you automatic enrolled onto access to Leeds?
Murshal
4:03
Would we be transferring to the scheme automatically or must we apply for it?
M-Al
4:03
Hi, my question is that I want to apply for medicine but I didn’t get in the medical strand, will this affect my application?
AvatarShauni Sanderson
4:03
@Aneesah - yes you'll be automatically eligible to transfer across to Access to Leeds. We'll explain how this works in lots of detail in September :)

Hi Guest!
AvatarHaaroon

@Murshal, you are automatically eligible for the Access to Leeds scheme. You will be contacted about this later in the programme. You will only need to complete a transfer form and not the full application form
Aneesah
4:04
@Shauni , thanks
M-Al
4:04
Hi, my other question is will I automatically go on the Access to Leeds scheme or do I have to apply for that too
AvatarMolly
4:04
Hi @M-AI great questions! Whether or not you got on to the medicine strand doesn't make a difference when it comes to your university applications - the universities don't even have to know! In terms of Access to Leeds, you'll go through a transfer process from RfE to A2L which is much shorter than an external application, but you'll still have a form to fill out. We'll give you plenty more information about this nearer the time though, so don't worry for now!

Hi Becca, Hassaan and Zena, thanks for joining us!
AvatarShauni Sanderson

@Zain hi! We'll try our best to make sure there's a law/criminology event during Easter. We'd recommend signing up for the law event in February too. Last year we did an industry visit to a law firm - would you be interested in this?

Is it better to do a gap year and gain experience or go straight to uni after a levels
AvatarShauni Sanderson
4:07
@Anonymous some unis will ask for BMAT and some will ask for UKCAT - be sure to check the entry requirements of each. If you fail whichever on is required for the unis you are applying to, they will not be able to make you an offer.
