You guys ever think of re-scaling the defensive WAR numbers, so that a neutral 1B is 0 D. It always just bugs me when a guy like Matty Olson who makes middle infield plays at 1B, and scoops almost everything has a negative D on the team pages. I guess Im just not sure why it was done that way instead of 0 being the avg of the lowest position on the D spectrum, and then positional adjustments going up from there.

This is an interesting point. Where you zero stuff affects how you think of things. Meg and I aren't really in the building the metrics of FanGraphs business (or at least, I'm not), but I think showing DRS in there somewhere would be useful.
That said scoops are notoriously difficult to put into defensive metrics.

The reason those numbers are negative is because the average amount of defensive value above or below average conributed by all players in baseball has to be zero, you know?
But nothing is stopping us from rescaling it for funsies.

Do you think JV suffers the fall out from pitching on short rest for years to come, especially in high intensity innings (Metric, please), like a Kluber or Miller? The Astros were up a game. Going to a different look without costing their best SP for the next series was the best move, especially when JV hasn't gone on 3 days rest often and he's getting older. Kluber said he was fucked for the next year and he's not the first.
