Love your insights.  AL-Only,12 team, 4x4 keeper, 3 Reserve (RES) slots.  I have Heim coming back from IL.  (Garver and Bethancourt current Cs).  Who do I drop among C. Bethancourt, C. Julks.(RES) , E. Olivares (RES), J. Meyers, B. Rooker?  My 5th OF is a little thin so I'm inclined to drop Bethancourt who is essentially a dead spot anyway, and hope the two in AAA get some run later in the season. Thoughts?
Brent Hershey

Yes, probably Bethancourt, though Julks is a close second for me. Not sure how Julks gets back to being relevant -- though admittedly, more keeper appeal here than Bethancount

Ke'Bryan Hayes just popped off another mini-hot streak to lure us back in. Still great quality of contact, sustaining the 6 point GB% reduction, yet the results haven't really been there all year (in part due to injury). Is there enough here to bank on a strong finish and 2024 break out? (12 team 5x5 keeper league)
Brent Hershey
12:58
Bank on? Probably not. But if you're realistic about 2023 ROS expectations, he could be of interest in 2024. Always going to be polarizing w/ the Statcast crowd, which means could be undervalued a bit. Would like to see him remain healthy, but still young enough to take a step up with the bat.

Who is the first drop among Logan Allen (CLE), Cole Ragans, and Kutter Crawford? (5x5 QS)
Brent Hershey
1:00
Kutter Crawford's lack of innings and pitches per start might be enough for me to let him go out of this group in a QS league. Like the potential, but seemingly has a pitch or BF count that Cora sticks to.

Who is the closer in San Diego next year?
Brent Hershey
1:01
Could sign anyone, but they already have Robert Suarez under contract, and are grooming him as a setup guy, even right after he got healthy. That would be my guess

NL only keeper, please rank in order of stash value for next year: Tylor Megill, Carlos Carrasco, Ryne Nelson, Gavin Stone, Emmet Sheehan, Luis Ortiz. Thanks.

Stone, Ortiz, Sheehan, Nelson ... <gap> ... Megill and Carrasco. Don't really want any part of the final two

Wondering how you might be evaluating Lawrence Butler for the rest of this year and next.  I read his Call-ups write up and he seems like a very under-the-radar prospect.  Curious if you have any comps for him and whether you think he will stick in the OAK lineup going forward.
Brent Hershey
1:05
I got very interested upon seeing his Futures Game batting practice, and I agree he's an under the radar guy. Would seem like the type of player OAK should give a six-week run to in an outfield spot. Good athlete, makes really solid contact, some sw/miss, some speed. Comps are tricky .. but I do think he could stick and have a leg up for a 2024 spot.

Will do the best I can here and will keep em short in the final minutes ...

Please rank for 2024 potential all-around production (5x5 OBP): Casas, Duran, Julien, Gelof, J. Walker, N. Jones

Walker and Casas your best bets

Hi Brent. Weekly H2H points league. I have some options for my fifth starter. Logan Webb is the obvious choice, but I don't like the match-up with the Braves on the road coming off a start where he went pretty deep. Other options Jordan Montgomery, Jameson Taillon, Lance Lynn, Aaron Civale.Maybe I am over thinking the match-up issue and just go with the best pitcher. I would appreciate your thoughts. Thanks for doing these Brent.

Go best pitcher in this case, even against ATL.

Hi Brent! NL-only and I'm within striking range of 3rd place. Need an SP- please rank ROS: Hendricks, Pfaadt, Williamson, Oviedo. Need Ks and QS. Would Josiah Gray be a better option to replace one of them? Thanks as always Brent!

Pfaadt and Williamson, who seems to have found something

In a H2H 12 team redraft points league. RBI, run, Sb are valued the same. Catcher ROS rankings for Melendez, H Davis, and Y Diaz

MJM, Diaz, Davis ... hoping that MJM continues off his good week and excellent underlying metrics

Is Bobby Witt REALLY figuring it out?  He's been incredible since the break.

In a 4x4 (no K's), should I drop M. Keller for Singer?  Keller has been struggling and Singer is on a roll and HQ has good ratings on him; at least for this week.
Brent Hershey

Yeah, fair move in a 4x4

I badly need RBIs without too much damage to my BA.  I can add 1-2 hitters at any position except DH, for streaming purposes in my NL-only 5x5. Choices: Avisail, Id. Vargas, Pillar, N. Lopez, Perdomo, Luken Baker, B. Crawford, Choi, Rutherford, Ortega, Y. Gurriel, Stone Garrett, M. Rojas or Cave.

HI Brent!  In NL only 4X4 roto. I am battling in 2nd place currently and am struggling with Wins/ERA/WHIP.  Do you think Lance Lynn keeps up this pace?   he's the only (decent) starting pitcher on our FA wire.
Brent Hershey

Yep!

Seems like a strange thing to do for the Nats, crush a young player like 2B Luis Garcia by demoting him.  When do you expect him back, and will he get ABs?  Batting .237 BA and .342 SLG in AAA.
Brent Hershey

Will be back early Sept; they will plug him in; not sure of how he'll do. Still super young; won't be a star but should be a cog

Hi Brent. In my 5X% H2H OBP league, I need to cut an OF to make room to activate Jordan Romano from the IL. Options are Teoscar Hernandez, Jorge Soler, or Sal Frelick. Leaning toward cutting Teoscar, who seems lost this year. CT% way up recently, but so is his GB%. And no one rosters Teoscar for his grounders. Thoughts?
Brent Hershey
1:12
Yeah, as weird as it sounds, that's prob the right choice in an OBP
Brent Hershey

OK, need to cut it off here ... didn't get to them all, but appreciate every last question. We'll do it again next week -- same day/time. Stay healthy (both you and your rosters!) ...
