Dunno. Has a good skills/results history; just needs health. I'd probably not wait until he gets hurt and just roster and cross your fingers.

Does Lane Thomas have stage fright in Cleveland or is this a normal cold streak?
Brent Hershey
12:50
Ill-timed cold streak, which, given where we are in the season, might mean moving on from.
Starting once or twice?
12:53
good morning, I am not sure which ones to start this week. Can you rank please? t anderson (kc tor) peterson (bal sd) bassitt (laa) francis (laa) crawford (ari) fried (phi) ray (ws). I am in a tight race for wins, era and whip, but also I would to increase pace in the k ranking. Francis has been impressive recenly with his splitter. Thank you

Greetings, Brent. On the existential playing field of life, have the Cardinals lost their way? Trade decisions, FA signings, prospect development have added up to "meh" for 3-4 years now.
Brent Hershey
12:54
Better than last year, but yeah, have to wonder if some shakeups (personnel and front office) are coming this offseason.

Is this Zebby guy legit?
Brent Hershey
12:54
A rook with this type of command is worth trying out. Good team development and overall team strength situation.

AL only - drop Siri, Max Schuemann, Lane Thomas? Seems like Siri isn't even playing
Brent Hershey
12:55
Yep; Siri
Dalton

H2H points league and I have the poo poo platter of 1B's available and need some help for this week only.

J Yepez
A Vaughn
R Hoskins
N Schanuel
G Sheets
T France
L Raley (5 games vs RHP)

Don't hate the messenger - this is what is available and who I narrowed the list down to. It's very sad.
Brent Hershey
12:56
No hate here. I'd go Schanuel. Something seems to be clicking a bit. Probably Vaughn as a backup

Is there any strong evidence that indicates how long after TJS the majority of elite pitchers return to form?  Wondering about the keeper prospects next year for guys like Buehler and Eury.
Brent Hershey
12:57
Nah, varies too much. Certainly the elite guys seem to have better outcomes ... because they are elite. Would not have a problem betting on Buehler for next year if the price is right.

Bobby Miller worth stashing in keeper league for next year?  Torn between roster spot for playoffs but needing a potential stud keeper cheap.
Brent Hershey
12:58
For next year? Yes; undoubtedly -- unless TJS comes calling.

Need 1 SP for playoffs in QS league.  Festa, Bitto, Waldron, Rodon.
Brent Hershey
12:59
I'd probably roll with Rodón (and his inconsistency) slightly over Festa (who seems to walk a bit much in a QS league).
Brent Hershey

Last few that I'll try to bang through ...

Jose Alvarado:  just one bad month, or toast?  No changes in velo, but a spike in LD% and BB% -- and a 39% H%! -- in July.  K% plunged from unsustainable 34% in June to 19% in July (and 12% in August...).  I got him as a throw-in in a keeper league and wonder whether I would regret dropping him.
Brent Hershey
1:02
Inconsistent, so you'll just need to ride the highs/lows. HOWEVER ... I do believe his save chances ROS are near toast. They'll be using him in 6th and 7th if all goes well in that bullpen.

Adrian Del Castillo  -  a flash in the pan or (potentially) the real deal?
Brent Hershey
1:02
Potentially real deal ... though don't think he supplants Moreno. But #2 CA and DH that gets him 400 AB in 2025? Entirely plausible.

Are we more bullish on my 2025 outlook given a healthy year and solid BPIs and StatCast numbers?  Does that 'D' health rating become a 'C'?
Brent Hershey

Likely, yes, on both accounts.

Do you think Ranger Suarez will get a start in this week? And would you start him?
Brent Hershey
1:04
Lined up for a weekend start @KC. Might hold off to see what we have there given how he had regressed before going on IL
Jordan Walker

2025?
Brent Hershey

Could happen. Cards not the dev group they had been, though.

Does Schuemann lose all his PT when Wilson returns this week?
Brent Hershey
1:05
No, not all. Could move around some

thoughts for ROS and 2025 on: Yepez, Chaparro, Call, Belozzo, C Norby and Jason Adam?
Brent Hershey
1:06
ROS: Chapparo and Norby of most interest
2025: Norby by a big margin -- though I guess Chaparro could remain. Would depend on WAS offseason.
Brent Hershey

Excellent; thanks, all! Enjoy the week and may you (and your players) stay healthy! See ya next Monday.
