Garrett far and away #1 for me; take a peek at his Statcast page if you're so inclined. Perfect lightning-in-a-bottle shot to take right now. Choice 2 is down to Burleson, Meckler, Winn and Joe in that rough order. Would likely try to stay away from Winn (no MLB experience) if possible, even conceding he's safe for AB for now.

Hi Thanks for doing this!

Quickie for this week - pick 2 from : Stanton, Suzuki, Conforto, or Verdugo... (thinking Conforto and Verdugo...)

Thanks again.

Verdugo + Suzuki for me

Jonah Heim has not looked like himself since the injury return (175 XBA with little power, both well below season marks) and it feels like he was rushed back into the pennant race. If this is an ongoing wrist injury that may still need surgery, how does it impact his keeper value for 2024? (12 team OBP)
Brent Hershey
12:57
Still small sample since return; though this scenario absolutely is a possibility. But 2024 all depends on if a surgery is needed and how extensive it is. I think you just hang on for now and see what happens, as all indications are the pre-surgery breakout was for real and the 2024 payoff if he doesn't need much or any cleanup could be big.

12 team AL-only 5X5 keeper.  Have a bit of a roster crunch where I need to make room for $4 Royce Lewis.  With the goal of trying to compete for the rest of this year without sacrificing next year, who would you cut from this list to make room for him:  Hunter Renfroe $30, Austin Hays $19 or Adam Frazier $8?
Brent Hershey
12:59
Renfroe can't be a $30 keeper next year, but I think you cut Frazier who is likely to be the worst performer of this quartet ROS.

Thoughts on ranking Drew Rom, Sanchez (Philly) and Winans ROS and next?
Brent Hershey
1:02
ROS: experience wins: C Sanchez, Winans, Rom. Realize that none of these three might stick in the rotation through Oct, but the above is the relative likelihood of each.
2024: Sanchez, Rom, Winans. Again, shaky to predict; none right now have a 2024 spot secure.

One more! What’s a reasonable FAAB bid (NL 10 team 5x5) for Winans?  I’d waive Ginkel or Payamps. Also avail: Strahm, Yates, Romero…

1-2% of Opening Day total.

Cease is having a poor season like his team. Do you expect him to be significantly better next year or is this who he is?
Brent Hershey
1:05
He'll be slightly better, but lots has to go right to reach 2022 heights again.

How would you rank these SS over the next 3-4 years?  Story, Pena, Neto, Winn. Any standouts positively or negatively? Thanks
Brent Hershey
1:06
Story, Winn <gap> Pena, Neto. Power of Story; all-around offensive game of Winn (though will need to wait longer than the others) give them the edge

Thanks, all ... got to everything this week. Enjoy this last full week in August — and if you haven't looked/considered, check out our First Pitch Arizona pages on the site for a great fantasy baseball weekend in November (2-5) in Phoenix! We'll chat again next week!
