Yes, and I'd slightly prefer McNeil to Hendricks. Remember to evaluate, too, what you think these guys will "cost" during your 2022 draft if they were openly available as part of the "acquire cheaply" strategy. Don't want to be keeping them for more than what they'll go for next March.

Thanks as always for your time.  Can John Means be realistically counted on ROS?  Does your site take into consideration how he hasn’t looked good since coming back from injury?
Brent Hershey

2nd Q first -- to an extent yes (what his results post-injury have looked like). But always worth adding the eye test to it when possible. And in this case, given that, plus team context/park, I"m less excited about Means ROS than I was, in say, May. Long-term outlook still strong, though.

Something up with Karinchak?  Hiding an injury or do you maybe posit he’s been affected by the foreign substance crackdown?
Brent Hershey

Touched on him earlier ... and I think both of your guesses are a possibility.

What is the latest on Patrick Sandoval?  Out for the year yet?
Brent Hershey
1:03
Nothing new, but Maddon's comments at the time had me mentally zeroing him out for ROS, unfortunately. One of my favorite youngish pitchers.

OK, will try to fly through the rest quickly here...

Hi Brent,  your chats are a welcome respite from the dog days of August. Is the correct order for 5IP starts and Ws ROS: R. Lopez, M. White, Gil, Barria, D. Jeffries, Steele, and Sandoval (cuttable b/c of back?).  Who you like best for HR and RBI ROS: Brinson or Meyers? And how many AB does Trout get ROS?
Brent Hershey
1:05
A. I don't believe in Lopez that much. Between Barria/Jeffries.
B. Brinson
C. We say 70; error bar is wide.

My AL-only has a unique roster expansion rule.  To take advantage of it, I need to know who are the 5-10 best players currently in the minors with a decent shot at being called up in September?
Brent Hershey
1:06
No realistic way of knowing, due to shortened roster exp for MLB and no way of accessing team decision making on this. Sorry.

Hi! Top contender in 12-Tm H2H Roto, please rank ROS - SPs Eduardo Rodriguez, Elieser Hernandez, Patrick Sandoval; Yuli vs Goldschmidt (I’m carrying 3 1B, including Olson); and bats Sano, Soler or Naquin. Any comments appreciated. Thanks!
Brent Hershey

SP: that would be my order
1B: Yuli
Soler, Naquin, Sano
That’s Priceless

11 team, NL only, need all offensive cats except swipes. Who to start (1 only): Moustakes, De La Cruz, or Ruf. Many thanks,

Any hitters you love this week. It’s a must win and I need to beach Betts abs grab someone from the waiver heap. Head to head points league. (Subscriber)

Look for opps from Philly, TOR, Houston ... those are the best three team batters matchups this week.

12-team H2H where the hitting is shallow and plays like a 10, but the pitching is like a 15. Joe Barlow just went on my IL. Have Jansen and Sewald. Dropped Bednar (PIT) this weekend to stream some Steals… would you roster him (mostly just care about SVs)? Thanks!
Brent Hershey
1:10
Tough call; Bednar will get the few Svs chances there, but depends on how bad you need the SB vs. Svs.

Schindler worth a Hail Mary in a must win week? Or Wong? Or pavin smith? Or peralta?  Head to head points with playoffs on line.
Brent Hershey

My gut says Wong

Is post-ASG Madison Bumgarner for real? Is this someone you'd be looking to add in a 10-teamer?
Brent Hershey
1:12
Sneaky play, as yes I think he has as good a chance to hold this ROS as others. Not as sure in a 10-teamer (would have to see other options) but could see it

Eugenio Suarez has three years remaining on a $66M contract. Given his precipitous fall the last two years, is he destined to short-side platoons in Cinci or is he an AL DH as soon as next year? How did he go to 49 HR with a .270 average to this?
Brent Hershey
1:13
Yeah, think his role gets reduced in 2022

Gregory Polanco replacement in PI? Alford? Hoy?
Brent Hershey

Right now, it's Park. Alford if he can get healthy
