33%, though it goes up a little if they bring him up in September (which I feel is unlikely). Most likely, a mid-2024 play.

NL only keeper. Would Tejay Antone be a good stash?
Brent Hershey
12:50
Only if it's some sort of obscenely deep dynasty league. Díaz's emergence and Bell's comfort level with him has settled that pen; and I doubt he finds long-term success in some other role.

B.Woo SEA only pitched 57 IP last year... With minors he's at 99 IP already.  What do you think limit probably is for this year?
12:52
Follow up on Woo... What does Seattle do with Woo after he reaches their IP limit?
Brent Hershey
12:52
Innings limit - probably 120/130ish; though just a guess here. So, yes, it's coming soon. I think they option him to the minors; have him begin conditioning for 2024.
Dodgers
12:53
Brent, any prediction on Dodgers rotation this week with Kershaw returning? I have Yoo (SD, .5 rating) but thinking of adding (upgrading to?) Yarbrough (COL, 1.3).
Brent Hershey
12:53
Think I'd lean Darvish here; skills gap is wide.

Hi Brent, I need a hitter in my 18-team 5x5 league  and have been offered Luis Matos or Baddoo.  Owner has balked at my attempts to get Taveras or Verdugo.  CDG says Matos and Taveras and Verdugo are all close is ROS $. Would you rank them: Taveras > Verdugo >> Matos > Baddoo?  Do I hold out for LT?
Brent Hershey
12:55
Yes, would agree with this rank. Not sure how to tell you to proceed, but LT is the best player here, esp. with the (supposed) weekend shenanigans of AV.

NL 5x5-  doing great in era and ratio. Need wins and k’s.  If I don’t get  lorenzen, any opinion of replacing reliever on SD Suarez with gomber ?
Brent Hershey
12:57
Yeah, don't think I'd go with Gomber for Ws/Ks, even if you have a huge ERA/RAT cushion. Backend starters on a +.500 team a much better bet

Add Littell for the stretch run in AL only or is he a blow up waiting to happen?
Brent Hershey
12:57
I'm intrigued; should be rostered in AL onlys

Do you think Foley will be the closer going forward in Detroit? He has outpitched Lange, and A.J. Hinch seems to be finally running out of patience with Lange's wildness.
Brent Hershey
12:58
Best bet here, yes.

Worry level on Pressly?
Brent Hershey
12:58
Mild; comes with his territory.

Is what we are seeing from Luis Severino typical from someone coming back from his injury?  Do you suppose he is still hurt a little, are his struggles mechanical and easily fixed with time...or has his star fallen?
Brent Hershey
12:59
Think it's a mix of all ... he's been this bad for this long; I am not holding out hope for a 2023 rebound. Will revisit in offseason.

What in tarnation is KC thinking using Carlos Hernandez in the 6th? He's their best arm by far.
Brent Hershey

Matchups and game leverage, 'twas the heart of Philly order. Manager comes from Tampa, and doesn't care about our fantasy teams. :-)
Keeper Prospects
1:02
Good Morning Brent. In a 10 team roto keeper league. This is my first year playing fantasy baseball, and wasn't sure what the correct number of prospects to have on my roster would be if I'm starting to migrate towards playing for next year. We can keep as many players as we would like, for an additional cost. We do NOT have a NA slot available, so they would be taking up a spot on my bench. Do I scoop up a top prospect in favor of say: Jake McCarthy? Or hold on to my players that are already up? Trade older Altuve for a top 3 prospect, or hold him even though I'm not competitive for the remainder of this year? Thanks so much...just trying to get a better understanding of value as it pertains to prospects.
Brent Hershey
1:02
Would hold onto McCarthy (young player who has shown skills). Would move Altuve for a top prospect, though. All a feel game ... welcome to it and be kind to yourself when you make mistakes. Happens to us all!

Hi Brent, 5X5 redraft, 16 teams, Your thoughts on Matt Wallner, Zach Littell & Kole Calhoun the rest of the year. Will they be full timers, platoon material or throwbacks into the FA pool?
Brent Hershey
1:03
Team situations right now indicate that Wallner and Littell will be full timers, and worth considering for starting roster spots in fantasy. K Calhoun has very little value and will be a FA throwback IMO.

How likely is sale to pitch this week?
Brent Hershey

Sounds likely; matchup would be DET. Prob limited pitch count ... but it's DET.

Happy Monday! Made my day last week when I got into the chat on my first try. Now I’m hoping to get a streak going with 2 weeks in a row. I’m in a Roto league 5X5 with 10 teams. Rosters are extensive with 27 spots and while I’m in year 3 this is the 15th for the league. In addition, there are minor league squads as well. You can keep a player for ever. I’m trying to resurrect the team that I inherited which is very short on major-league talent on the hitting side and I’ve been building for the future for the past two years with some shrewd waiver wire grabs (thanks to this website). My current OF is Duran, Nolan Jones, McCarthy, with Siri on the bench. I was just offered Colton Cowser for Andrew Painter. What’s your thoughts?
Brent Hershey
1:05
If you're a couple years out from contending, I'd hang onto Painter. Pure talent level is higher than Cowser. Good luck!

Hi Brent. Please rank Christopher Sanchez, Bradish, Matz, and Silseth ROS. Relatedly, if the Phillies go to a 5-man rotation, who do you think goes to the bullpen of Sanchez, Ranger Suarez, and Taijuan Walker?
Brent Hershey
1:07
Rank: Bradish, Matz, Sanchez, Silseth; largely due to projected IP.
Walker not going to bullpen. Sanchez prob most likely, though Suarez's playoff experience in both roles could play a factor, too.

Scherzer or Montgomery ROS?

Running out of time in the chat, so just going to say that my faves for 2024 from this group are Eury, MillerLA, Skubal, MillerSEA

Manzardos likelihood of becoming a top 5-10 first just increase or decrease this week?
Brent Hershey

Slight increase b/c likely to have less competition for AB once he is ready.
