Something I find frustrating as a fan: why aren't obviously good players extended ASAP, when it's most favorable to the team? We all know the Orioles should have extended Machado after his first season, but why haven't the Red Sox jumped on Betts and Boegarts, the Mets Syndergaard and deGrom, etc etc?
