Next year, Cubs are likely to lose Fowler and will probably lose Chapman, while Lester, Lackey and Zobrist will be another year older. The top prospects have mostly graduated. Going forward, is it safe to say that the Cubs look to be 'pretty good' rather than great?

Billy Hamilton has really been getting on base quite a bit lately. Obviously his .398 mark over the last 30 days isn't the new norm but have his obp skills taken a step forward or has he just been lucky?

Nearly identical peaks. Beltre's got way more longevity/cumulative stats, though
Think Rolen should get real consideration, maybe even should be in. Don't think he gets in though. At the very least, he doesn't have Beltre's momentum
