I'd say low. I think Nova's floor is lower than Liriano's. But I didn't think they'd trade Liriano, so who knows.

Any chance? Sure. A good one? I don't think so. Meadows has to prove he can stay healthy for a full season and I don't think they'll get rid of Dickerson before that happens.

More likely Newman, who has reached Class AAA already, than Tucker. Possibly, especially with Mercer in his walk year.

nice to see Polanco swinging a hot stick but to me is still a liability on defense. Speed can only help so much when first step is wrong and path taken to balls hit to right is often the wrong angle. Can this be taught or is it instinctive? Thoughts

This is the beginning of his fifth year in the majors and whatever instruction he's received hasn't landed quite yet. It's instinctive to a degree but it can also be refined. The hard part is, the ball comes off the bat in a game differently than off a fungo in practice, so there is some degree of learning on the fly, but you'd like to see better routes by this stage.

Do you see a potential big name pitcher in season trade, for this team. They seem to be missing that one Ace that others can rally around. Really could make the season more interesting..

No, because even when they were really good they didn't go get the big-name guy. They acquired Wandy and J.A. Happ, both helpful players but neither an ace.

If we're in the hunt come late july-early August and Keller is tearing it up, do you think we'll call him up to give us that extra boost down the stretch

My guess is no because he's made only six double-A starts. But they talk a lot about how breaking in young pitchers in the bullpen was done in the old days when discussing putting Brault and Glasnow there, so it'll be interesting to see if they use that same logic the other way around.

I don't know that it'll have quite the impact of the Meals game because it was only the first one, but it can't hurt.
