Marte or Rizzo this year? Who ya got? Little worried about Rizzo’s back. Seems to pop up more last year or two...but also worried Marte SB will decline.

Same concerns. I'm picking Rizzo first
Marte is a hard avoid unless I really screw the pooch on early steals
Also, I noticed Marte really dropped in a couple mocks and dynasty drafts I've done. Those aren't normal settings though

Thinking is we can move Margot for Anderson to avoid having to draft from a very shallow 3B pool

The overall 3B pool is very deep. Can't speak to your league specifically. But I think that's a fine trade.

12-team, 10 keeper max. Basically everyone thinks they have 10 keepers plus one or two extras, so we're all trying to condense in the offseason with 2-for-1s and player-for-pick deals. Is there a clever way of zagging while others zig here?

My latest attempt to zig/zag attempt is to not worry about having too many keepers and taking any trade that helps. Granted, I'm dealing with deeper scenarios like a keep 28 where some teams want MLBers and others want 15-year-old children
The "correct" approach is still to aggregate
It's just hard to find those trades

Weird format question...  Draft any player that has not exceeded rookie elig and you can keep them until they're 30.  Everyone else can be kept for 5 years.   So at pick # 1 overall you could take Trout and have him for 5 or take Vlad Jr and keep him for twice as long.   How high up do you bump someone like Vladito?
Brad Johnson

Vladito is either pick #1 or 2. Maybe Mookie and Lindor are in the mix over Vlad. Just depends on where you're aiming
Personally, I'd probably bank Trout and cry about it 5 years from now

Better keeper, market rate Merrifield or discounted Eugenio Suarez?
Brad Johnson

Gimme Suarez unless you're desperate for steals. I consider Merrifield to have a brittle profile. The line between him being a fantasy gem and a flop is thinner than most realize.
And on that note, I'm calling it a day. Thanks for playing!
