ADP is just a straight report of what has happened across all formats on that site
The nice thing about NFBC ADP is that 1. the format is standardized 2. the participants are better than the average fantasy player 3. it's available super early in the offseason

The downside is that 15-team 5x5 draft and hold doesn't reflect a typical fantasy league after the first couple hundred picks

I am at $399 and 40 filled spots in ottoneu FGPts. Would it be wise and prudent to try to make a 2 players with more than $1 salaries for 1 guy deal where I clear some cap and a roster spot? Even if it means giving up some uncertain upside

Nah, look for broken players on larger contracts. Like CMart
Trade a cheap guy for CMart and a full loan
Cut CMart and recoup the full contract
