Definitely not breaking camp. I went to a Padres game last Friday and watched him scamper around the bases after reaching twice on infield hits
He's extremely talented but also overmatched by Triple-A Rockies pitchers

Do you need to be an apologist to recognize that Alonso hasn't been jerked around at this point? Just objectively compare his treatment- in what was a semi-legit position battle with Dom Smith-- to what you saw with Vlad Jr, Eloy, etc. Which one of these three has been treated best?

Alonso was also explicitly left off the September roster despite arguably being the most MLB ready by classic standards. I don't think there's a case to be made that the Mets have been good to him to date.

I think having goals is very important. Scripting how you get there should be extremely fluid though

I actually haven't personally experienced this despite designing some formats that use it
Theoretically, it can be decently redistributive as long as you also don't encourage tanking

Either is fine. Wendle will play with more certainty, Hampson has a better chance to turn into a tradeable asset.
