He's a good pitcher who makes short starts, misses plenty of starts, and in the words of one industry contact "has the worst medicals I've ever seen."
The same contact has said the same about Masahiro Tanaka and a few other pitchers

So he was showing some signs of a breakout late last year on the power front

I forget if it was a thumb or hamate
either way, he returned SUPER early
So it's not surprising his power is finally starting to show up
I think he can work as an everyday 1B in 12 team or deeper
