I also like crazy value gaps that can happen when 5 steals are the difference between 2nd and 6th place.

Last chat! Thanks for all the help this year!

Hey Brad, thanks for the chat. H2H pts league -- i know you arent in the mode of "trusting" anyone, but who do you feel better about in order with Brandon Woodruff, Matt Moore, and Jordan Montgomery (will he get 2 starts this week?)
Brad Johnson
4:22
If Monty gets 2 starts, I wouldn't be surprised if they're both under 5 IP
And Moore is a random number generator this year. No rhyme or reason to his performances
Woodruff, I can get behind if you need the innings
And I'm not opposed to Monty either, just worried he won't be able to supply wins
G. Stanton
4:22
Did you happen to see Bob Nightengale tweeted the San Fran Giants as the "hypothetical" front runners to land G. Stanton? I just...don't see anything the Giants could offer, ML Roster or Minors to even get in the conversation. Better question, why did B. Nightengale straight up, make this story up?

This chatter has been going around for a week or 10 days (or so)
I agree that the Giants have squat to offer
But a package of Christian Arroyo, Tyler Beede, and some stuff might be "shiny" enough to sell to the fans. Only if the Giants take on the entire contract though

Is Kershaw worth keeping at a high salary next year?  (ottoneu FG pts)
Brad Johnson
4:24
Hopefully my leaguemates won't notice this. Definitely yes.
I'd need like a $12 Aaron Judge to trade him too
Joe B

Do you see Charlie Morton being a top 40 starting pitcher next year.
Brad Johnson
4:25
I think he'll perform as such, barring injury. It'll be interesting to see where he settles in ADP

Stashed Harper on the DL. Even getting 2-3 ABs...start him over someone like Marwin Gonzalez or Buxton?
Brad Johnson
4:25
Go Harper over Marwin

So what happens with Carson Kelly and Yadier Molina, it is easy to see that Kelly plays another half season at AAA and then backs up Molina for the other half with more of a time split than seen this season...but then 2019 and beyond?
Brad Johnson
4:26
Molina is getting old. He'll slowly shift towards part time work. As the Braves showed us this year, you can get the most out of your catchers by splitting their playing time

Do you see Brad Peacock as a guy that could can be had a little late in the draft next year but finish as a top 30 guy? He's up to 20 starts this year, but could make upwards of 25-30 next season, and he's been lights out lately.
Brad Johnson
4:26
I don't think he'll be sleepy, no
4:27
In snakes, the price will still be quite reasonable
snakes kind of force that for all but a few outlier types
in auctions, his price will depend upon when he's nominated
4:28
If you pop him early, it'll soar above $12
But if he's late, you might see him fall for $3
Catchers
4:28
Sanchez, Judge, who goes first in draft?
Brad Johnson
4:28
Judge
Easily
Hit 50 HR and his only slump coincided with a shoulder injury
There's nothing about his power that reads as fluky
4:29
He's not like Bellinger or Hoskins where a switch back to the old ball could seriously impact his HR total

I understand Jackie Bradley Jr. is streaky, but he's really only had a couple good months as a professional baseball player (defense aside). Is this what JBJ is or, do you think he can still be a Top 30 OF?
Brad Johnson
4:29
This seems to be what he is
4:30
Breakouts are always possible. Although I think a breakout looks more like Dexter Fowler than a true stud.

Who would you take in 10-team Roto keeper- Luke Weaver for $2, Berrios for $3, or Tanaka for $5?
Brad Johnson
4:31
I'd probably take the established piece with Tanaka
Weaver is tempting, but I expect regression
Judge or Altuve
4:31
Who's your AL MVP?
