Brian: Are the offensive line issues simply talent, or cohesiveness?  I really expected them to be strength this year, especially in the running game.

Cohesiveness, or lack there of, might be an underrated aspect of it. While three starters came back, one moved from RT to LT (Brian O'Neill) and another (Alex Bookser) has played both RT and RG quite extensively this year. And then in the middle it's an entirely new face at center in redshirt freshman Jimmy Morrissey. We knew the unit would be in flux somewhat, but figured the talent would overcome those changes.

Does Pitt gets its first ACC win this weekend against a top 20 D and it’s best asset being able to stop the run? Can the Pitt offense finally do enough to get a win?

That's the big question, isn't it Bean? Someone asked earlier if Ian Troost's protest is a distraction, but I don't think it's nearly as distracting to the team as the constant QB changes. To a man, every player says it doesn't matter to them and it's not their call, but I don't buy that. It has to be strange to not know who's coming into the huddle until they actually come into the huddle. Maybe this will be the week one separates from the other?

OK, I will attempt to be better informed about Clemson-Syracuse games moving forward.
Er, the postgame happenings of Clemson-Syracuse matchups.

What is your prediction for the Duke game this weekend?

I will end the chat as I do most other weeks, with my FEARLESS prediction. Call it bold, but I'm taking Pitt to win on the road this week at Duke. Not ready to say the offense will turn the corner, though, so I guess I'll go with something like 17-14. one week after Florida State beat Duke, 17-10.
Thanks for the participation, everyone, have a great night and rest of the week.
