Pitt will take 37-3 lead to halftime and win 37-34.

Five losses by 23 points total vs UNC 2013-2017. So Pitt by 23, 37-14.

Rick, is that you? Short-term memory loss, perhaps?

Hey Brian, it was really great to see Damar play up to potential against the run last week, but how will he fair against the pass against say Milton at UCF?

Let's not get ahead of ourselves, JAE. Hamlin definitely has shown worlds better in run stopping than pass coverage through three games, but maybe he'll take some baby steps forward against a much weaker offense and less accomplished QB this weekend.

a tale of two halves .... with respect to GT .. everyone is saying how poorly Pitt played in the 2nd half vs. 1st.  however, maybe it was more of GT playing so poorly in the 1st and Johnson giving it to them at half-time.  I.E., maybe these 2 teams were fairly evenly matched overall ?

I enjoy differing viewpoints, and as such, I salute you, Tomas. Could be!

What do you think of this idea? Tell Penn St to sign a 10 year deal with Pitt or Pitt will offer a home and home with every team in the big 10 east. Every team they compete with will get to play in front of west pa recruits except them.

That's assuming a lot, namely that every team in the Big 10 East wants to or has the room to play Pitt. Also, State College isn't THAT far from Pittsburgh to the point where recruits can't just go visit PSU for a home game anyway. And you may have heard their home games can be rather lit.

How hot does coach Pat’s seat get if he fails to beat his kyptonite in UNC again, especially considering how bad of a team they are this year and last.

Even a loss in this game, which to your point would be horrible, I don't think is going to draw THAT much scrutiny. Yes, it would put Pitt .500 overall and in the ACC, but there'd still be a long way to go in this season. Two more chances for marquee wins, which Narduzzi has shown the ability to nab, and six more ACC games to chase that Coastal title. So yeah, I don't think it would get any more "hot" than many people were after 51-6.

Is Watson ever going to develop the vertical passing game? All the roll-outs and timing routes bringing me flashbacks to the Tino Sunseri era.

He's always been a more West Coast guy in terms of philosophy, so no, don't expect him to run and gun on us here. But I'm with you that the passing game has been remarkably UN-exciting through three games, and really 15 games, going back to last season. Far fewer sacks than the Tino Sunseri era, though. From what I recall, at least.

OK, that's all the time we've got today. Got some stories to write, some people to see, etc. etc. Thanks, as always, for stopping through, and we'll do it again next Wednesday.
