Is it possible that Pitt can control clock with their running game and keep PSU off the field
Brian Batko
2:54
Interesting theory, D2. Not a bad idea, either. Qadree Ollison, Darrin Hall and the boys in the backfield could really help the cause if they can do some damage and churn out tough yards. But I still think Pitt needs to score a lot of points more so than shorten the game. Maybe I'm wrong, though; I'm not a football coach.

McSorley and Barkley are the ones who stand out on Penn State's offense, but their receiving threats (esp. Gesicki at 6'6" 250 lbs.) are just as formidable due to their size and athletic ability. The linebackers and defensive backs for Pitt will have their hands full trying to contain them.

Yeah man, Mike Gesicki might be the best tight end in the country. The receivers on the perimeter are dangerous as well. Penn State's offense is really good.

Which o-lineman goes to backup now? The center?
Brian Batko
2:55
That's my guess, but I surmise Pitt's coaches would tell you that's the good thing about depth and competition, that no one can rest on his laurels.

Should we just stop the transfer QB stuff already and just let DiNucci play and get experience for next year?  Otherwise, we will have the same QB growing pains again next year.
Brian Batko
2:57
Probably not, no, given that the coaching staff think Max Browne is the best option. But DiNucci should still have the inside track next season, assuming all the praise for him this camp was genuine.

whats up with Paris Ford?
Brian Batko
2:58
As far as I know, just still behind in the playbook and trying to get caught up. Obviously, Narduzzi wouldn't have felt comfortable putting Ford out there Saturday, because he wasn't even dressed. I find that a bit odd, but maybe he's really just that far behind the 8 ball.

If Narduzzi and Franklin were to compete in a decathlon who would win?
Brian Batko

I have to see Narduzzi on an almost daily basis, so my money's on him.

I see that Kwantel Raines will be at the Penn state game this Saturday....and standing on Penn State's sideline!  This does not bode well for Pitt to land this guy from their own backyard if they lose big not to mention the big home crowd and game day atmosphere at Penn state.
Brian Batko
2:58
It's a home game for Penn State. I don't think this matters.

The D line was getting pushed around a bit. How big of a factor is the dismissal of Blair & Telani
Brian Batko
2:59
Certainly doesn't help to have your two most experienced D-linemen get the boot between spring and summer camp

With Franklin mentioning Henderson as their big concern in Pitt's offense, does that open up the possibility of more trickery off the jet sweep, similar to what we saw with Aston at Clemson? Keying on the jet sweep could open up the inside run game.

Prediction/final score?
Brian Batko

George Aston is gonna come out in the second half and lead the team back to a win Willis Reed-style.

but really, I'll say Penn State wins by a touchdown
OK ladies and gentlemen, that's all for today. Sorry I couldn't get to all the questions. Maybe next week!
