But I'm surprised I haven't seen any clickbait headlines like "Steelers re-signing of Josh Dobbs means they're worried about Mason Rudolph" or some such goofiness.

Hi Brian.  Do expect Al Villanueva to sign with the Ravens or do think there’s still a chance he may return to the Steelers?  Thank you.
Brian Batko
2:38
Hi Donna. I kinda think there's a better chance of him re-signing with the Steelers than playing anywhere else, but who knows with Al. Was surprised to see that he's visiting Baltimore, because I figured he might just retire if he doesn't make his way back here. Would be really, really weird to see him in Ravens purple. Or any kind of purple, for that matter.
2:39
And let me clarify that I'm not expecting Villanueva to return to Pittsburgh. Basically, I think the Steelers are ready to move on at that position, much like they were with James Conner at RB.

Hey Bats. Do the Steelers just shock everyone and trade up to get QB in draft? Would you be shocked? Or do they do what we think and address QB issue next year?
Brian Batko

I'd be pretty stunned, yes.

Hi Brian, Greetings from Caliunicornia, Love your chats and and podcasts with Ray. I'm beginning to hear rumblings of the Steelers picking up a cornerback if certain ones fall down the to the Steelers pick.. Would you do that and go RB 2nd round?
Brian Batko
2:43
Thanks, Paul. I think the only "rumbling" I've seen as far as that goes is Mike Tomlin seemingly taking a keen interest in Asante Samuel Jr. at Florida State pro day. I'll say this much, we know the Steelers love them some NFL bloodlines, and this cornerback group is rich with those prospects. Samuel Jr., Patrick Surtain II, Jaycee Horn (Joe's son). Those second two probably won't be there at 24, and Samuel is considered more of a second-rounder, but you never know. Perhaps even Caleb Farley will slip down the board because of injuries, but if that were the case, the Steelers might be out on him anyway.

B Money...saw your Najee/Najeh tweet. Thousands of Steeler fans who still think Martavius Bryant played for the Steelers can't wait.
Brian Batko

So true, Jacque. Prayers up as well if JC HassenauEr wins the starting center job, as well.

Have you been watching any highlights of players not overly discussed in here?
Brian Batko
2:48
Since I messed with you earlier ... I try to watch some highlights but also some full games, just because everyone looks good on those highlight reels. But to be honest, I also don't sit here and watch hours and hours of film every day. That's what makes the draft gurus, well, gurus. But one guy I've seen a little bit of is OT Stone Forsythe from Florida. Doesn't often get mentioned with the top names at that position but I thought he looked solid. It's guys like him who lend credence to this being a deep OL class, maybe to the point where you can wait on it a little.

Thoughts on Haskins taking on a “slash” role? Play WR, learn the offense? Seemed to work for us in the past? Would diminish the need for QB and WR....
Brian Batko
2:51
Not sure if you're being facetious, Iceman, but Dwayne Haskins is not a very athletic QB. He ran a 5.04 40. Stephen A. Smith on Line 1 ... https://www.washingtonpost.com/sports/2019/04/19/stephen-smith-says-he...

Hello Brian, There is a report Najee Harris' 40 time is 4.45 which I don't believe. If 4.45 indeed his 40 time, there must be something deficient about him unable to break for home run rushes. Your thoughts?
Brian Batko
2:53
Yeah I'm not sure I buy that either. His ESPN recruiting page has him at 4.66 coming out of high school.

Just curious if you saw the Football Outsiders espn.com projection on running backs and what your thoughts were. I thought it was interesting that Chubby Hubbard was not very far behind Najeh Harris.

To Assured Trepidation's above question, I've also tried to check out at least a couple minutes of tape on most of the RBs. And I thought Chuba Hubbard looked pretty good! Pretty fast! Not at all chubby! IF the Steelers do decide to wait on RBs, I'd be on the Chuba bandwagon in the middle rounds.

Is B Money a thing now? I like Bats better.
Brian Batko

I don't know, is it? I'll happily answer to both.

OK everyone, our hour is up. Perfect timing, as my wife just got back from the grocery store. Time to go carry in all the food in one trip. Talk to you next week.
