There's only so much you can do for a player this time of year. Probably gave him a strength and conditioning routine type of thing to do over the offseason and you just have to hope the guy comes back in great shape, ready to get all those reps at left tackle.

Bats, do you think Rogers' play will had 2 - 3 more wins, IF he plays?  The over/under win is 8.5 and with him we will easily make the playoffs.

At what point to we worry regarding a TJ extension. Rumors of his demise as a player are greatly exaggerated. And as much as it isn't the Steelers way to swing first, we let the Raiders and Browns set the market of silliness.

And it could get even sillier with the Cowboys and Micah Parsons. So, yeah, I do think it'd be wise for the Steelers to act quickly on TJ Watt but I say that without knowing entirely what Watt's looking for with regard to compensation.

Well we can do a poll on it, but I highly doubt it would have any impact on what the Steelers will or would do. Might make for some interesting content, though.

Hey Brian - thanks for all the good work. I really don’t mind Mike Tomlin not using press conferences as therapy sessions and bearing his soul to the public for some fish bowl self reflection. As frustrating as it may be for you and others to cover and us to read, he owes us nothing. What I mind, is the absence of a shred of evidence of introspection and the next step of making changes and doing things differently. Running into the same brick wall at the same speed and the same angle just hurts my head at this point. I no longer think we’re going to bust on through.

With regards to the UDFA players, are the salaries the same for all and do they also get a bonus at signing time?

No, some guys get more from their teams than others. And yes, they get a bonus. Sometimes that's all they'll end up with if they don't last long.

Hey Bats my question is how can people be so down on a none losing team that has made the playoffs 4 of the last 5 years and has the 2nd best regular season record in the entire NFL for the last 10 years. Every team that makes the playoffs loses except one.
