Great job Brian.  Always been a fan of Deebo Samuel.  Was off to a good start last year when Daniels was in the lineup.  I think he would be a great pickup for the right price for the Steelers.  What do you think?

Let's let this new-look receiving corps show what it can do a little bit first, Charlie

Have you ever been able to interview a professional athlete about overcoming the “yips”?
Brian Batko

Hmmm I think the closest I've come to a "yips" situation was Donte Moncrief in 2019: https://www.post-gazette.com/sports/steelers/2019/11/07/steelers-mailb...

Brian maybe if Mike Tomlin had spoken in plain English instead of his mumbo jumbo word salad the defense would not have had so many communication issues…just sayin’

Wouldn't be my last chat without one of these, now would it? Man, I wonder how many Mike Tomlin questions I answered over the years. Someone else in the queue asked my favorite Tomlin encounter or memory. Well, my first year on the beat, I asked him about the Mason Rudolph cart malfunction and he told me to ask someone who's in charge of that, then hitting me with the classic line, "I don't drive carts and things of that nature."

The last question I asked Tomlin as Steelers head coach was about the Tyler Loop missed kick that may or may not have altered the course of fate. And that was the "if my aunt had male parts, she'd be my uncle" response. I'm good with that.

I want to thank you for your efforts, demeanor, and lightheartedness in your chats. I have looked forward to them, and enjoyed reading. You brought the approach of a young optimist happy to be here, and of course, quite knowledgable. Wish you the best.

You have to have a certain amount of cynicism to do this job, but yes, I would say I'm an optimist at heart. So thanks.

Hey BB! What’s your prediction on starting day QB depth chart for QB 2, 3 and will there be a 4?  Who is odd man out, is he cut, traded or does someone mysteriously get “injured “?
Brian Batko

My post-draft roster projections had it 8-18-15 and I'm sticking to that.

Totally hypothetical question - if you were betting on who has the best chance of becoming a franchise QB, would you say Howard or Allar and why? And please don’t say NEITHER!

Both

Brian, you are my favorite beat reporter. A ball knower and a great writer. I hope I get to read and listen to you in the future.

Selfishly, I'm gonna let the last chat comment be one calling me a ball knower. It's all I've ever wanted.

But seriously, that's a wrap for me. One door closes and another opens. My personal email is bbatko22@gmail.com if you need it. You've all been a great audience. Goodnight. I'll hit the lights on my way out.
