Brian, lets say you are the Steelers brass, you stumble upon a hockey bag full of salary cap -compliant cash, what two editions to the offence do you consider? Thanks.
Brian Batko
2:44
Can I just roll it over to next year's cap?

When will Tomlin learn not to play his team in black uniforms for home games when it’s hot out?
Brian Batko
2:45
So you wanna see the Men of Steel wearing white at home when they play host to the Niners in Week 1. Blasphemy! But I say make the Niners wear red to even the playing field. The NFL needs more primary color-on-color matchups. White jerseys are boring. There's a take for you.

Hi Brian,  I keeping here everyone complaining above Canada’s playbook but I don’t believe it’s the problem. I don't think he can plan or call a game.  When will the Steelers see this and get someone can do it.
Brian Batko
2:47
My prediction is after this season.

Who did u vote to go in steelers hall of honor this year?
Brian Batko
2:49
I don't have a vote but I think it'd be cool to induct Joey Porter this season.
2:50
And then in 2024 you induct James Harrison for the 15-year anniversary of his Super Bowl pick-six.

Good afternoon, Brian.  I still have a bit of a concern about ILB.  Do you think the players that are current will suffice or do you foresee any additional more talented acquisitions taking place, before the start of the season?
Brian Batko
2:52
Not gonna say I envision any more acquisitions, but I'm with you that I think the middle of their defense coverage-wise is a major area of concern. Between the two new ILBs, who have been fairly average to this point in the NFL, and the uncertainty around slot corner, the Steelers better hope their evaluations pay off in both regards.
And I should mention strong safety, too.

By the time that a player makes it to a professional team’s training camp, are there still technique issues that get worked on by coaches?
Brian Batko
2:56
For sure. Even veterans are still working on their technique all the time, every practice, every year. They drill this stuff for a reason, and even in-season, you see the TJ Watts, Cam Heywards and Minkah Fitzpatricks of the world going through the same drills as the rookies.

pepperoni or sausage?
Brian Batko
2:57
On a pizza or a cracker, pepperoni. For a breakfast sandwich, sausage.

Hello Brian.  How do you foresee the Thursday night games crowd wise?  I always try to get those ticket because they are normally pennies on the dollar.  Looking forward to those
Brian Batko
2:58
I suspect you'll be able to get them cheap. Unless of course the team is rolling at that time. But yeah, any time I'd check the ticket re-sale sites, night games and cold games generally depress the value significantly.

In the picture above, was Kenny throwing to Harris (who caught it) or actually to Simms?
Brian Batko

Pickett insists he was throwing to Harris, and I believe him. But even if he's lying, they don't ask how, they ask how many.

OK everyone, I'm gonna go out on that note. Hope you all have a great week and I will catch you Friday for the mailbag. And probably next Monday for another chat. But can't divulge all the company secrets here.
