Haven't really sat down and thought about it too much, but on-the-spot rankings, I'd go

  1. Chiefs
  2. Ravens
  3. Bengals
  4. Bills
  5. Dolphins
  6. Texans
  7. Steelers/Browns
8-10 In Playoffs
2:38
Brian, For the love of god, why do sports writers, media throughout the country, think that no-losing seasons for Tomlin is HOF worthy? He hasn't won a playoff game in 7 years, 8-10 playoff record and lost the last 3 playoff games by a combined 135 points? We are stuck with him until he decides to leave. Will you call him out when they lose to teams that are 2-10 again this season?
Brian Batko
2:39
Well he did win a Super Bowl and go to another one, on top of a .633 career winning percentage in the regular season.
Hi Brian -
2:41
Do you really think this is a playoff team? I'm not sure. You'd think that at this stage, with all the changes and only a few years left, TJ, Minka, and others being in their prime, they would go closer to all-in. I mean, why wait? They have not done squat in a decade.
Brian Batko
2:41
As you can see by my cop-out a couple questions earlier, I can't decide.

Happy Summer, BB. Thanks for the chats… with the new kickoff rules what is your over under on returned TD’s? Over/under 5 TD’s scored? And conversely how many KO returns for TD will the Steelers allow? Thank Bruh!
Brian Batko
2:42
I'm gonna say they do not allow a kick return for a touchdown this year, KKA.
Ryan
2:42
Good afternoon Brian with training camp starting soon do we add anyone if so what position go Steelers
Brian Batko
2:44
Hi Ryan. Slot corner is the one I'm looking at the most, but I also wonder if they might want to add another OLB to that mix too.

Hey bats!  Love the chats…favorite place in the strip?  If JPJ follows the top receiver again this year,  can Donte switch sides?
Brian Batko
2:46
Hey Jim, plenty of spots in the Strip that I still need to try but I like Cinderlands for food/drinks. Donte Jackson shouldn't have any problem moving around.

2nd or 3rd year Player you expect to make the most improvement?

What are the chances of landing a QUALITY WR before camp? Not breaking the bank however, QUALITY and who do you think would be available?.
Brian Batko
2:48
Hmmm let's go 42% - and most guys can be available for the right price. Obviously, Brandon Aiyuk has the most buzz around him these days.

When asked his seasonal goal, Bill Cowher always answered "to win the National Football league Championship". Does not the "please win a playoff game" vibe that Coach Tomlin by silence lets be the meme for 2025 without a robust spoken counter-narrative defeat the time honored saying that "to achieve it, you must first visualize it?"
Brian Batko
2:50
I'm pretty sure Mike Tomlin's seasonal goal is to win the National Football league Championship.

Bats. I know it’s a small sample size(and it’s only been football in shorts) but isn’t it readily apparent that both QB’s are light years more NFL sound than that Kenny kid-  meaning they have more zip on the ball, more accurate and possess NFL arms?  To this day, I’m still at a loss how the brass ever viewed this guy as a top 32 QB.
Brian Batko
2:52
That seems like a stretch, but OK, I'll grant you that Super Bowl-winning, 13th-year veteran is ahead of where Kenny Pickett was in practice.

Aloha From Maui Hi,

In your huble opinion what is the most likely scenario at WR2?
Brian Batko
2:53
Aloha, Mike, and I appreciate you assuming my humility. As we sit here today, I think it's Van Jefferson, but not with the full complement of snaps that you've seen from the Steelers' No. 2 WR in the last few years.

Why have y’all eliminated written content I. The site? Some of us still really enjoy the idea of reading. Literally no articles are written anymore
Brian Batko
2:55
Well that's not true. We've been having columns, mailbags, updates when news happens such as today. But we've been keeping up with the podcast schedule even during this NFL downtime when nothing of note is happening around the league.

If you had to bet $1 million dollars will the Steelers beat both  the Raiders and the Jets?
Brian Batko
2:56
Yes

What’s the over/under this week on how many questions there will be about the Steelers trading for Aiyuk or some other WR: 25?
Brian Batko
2:56
There weren't that many, eh? Just a few here and there.

Will the Steelers host a playoff game this year?

Negative

Hi Brian, Besides Pickens, who is most likely to be our best deep threat, and who is most likely to be our best option as possession receiver?
Brian Batko
2:58
Deep threat I'll go Calvin Austin, possession I'll go Van Jefferson
Bulldog
2:58
Hi Bats.  How was your weekend?  The Steelers have a problem but it's not a coaching problem...it's an owner problem.  ARII is no DMR.  Agree or not?
Brian Batko
2:59
Kicked it off with the last day at the beach and then the drive home, but all in all, it was good. Thank you for asking, Bulldog. I wasn't around the team for the Dan Rooney days so that's a tough one to answer. But I do think the buck stops with the owner for basically any sports franchise.

OK folks, good chat today. Not sure yet what next week's schedule will be with training camp starting with report day Wednesday, first practice Thursday, but there's gonna be a lot going on via the P-G regardless. Looking forward to it.
